Dystopian Studios has two great studios located in the Downtown Los Angeles area. At the Brewery Arts Complex and Big Art Labs. With rates as low as $12/hour, studios are great for fashion, glamour, product, headshots, boudoir, fetish, music video, short film, and all your photo/video production needs. Features include a white corner cyclorama, black void, green screen and a wide variety of sets a

nd backgrounds. Both studios have high ceilings, climate control, plentiful FREE parking right outside the door as well as free use of grip equipment (C-Stands, sandbags, apple boxes, etc,) and video monitor.

Tomorrow night at Collab at DYSTOPIAN STUDIOS II

TUESDAY, April 8th 730 PM to 1130 PM
LA's awesome Art Salon and Creative Mixer is joined by LA Climate Week and a whole bunch of great artists and speakers. Plus food by Aloha Taquitos, free snacks and beverages, and a live play through of Climate CoolDown.

What is Collab? Started in 2005, it's a monthly art salon, creative mixer, network/collaboration event and a place to help figure out what you want to get up to next. Anyone is welcome, it is super easy to meet people, share ideas, get inspired, find collaborators, or get help on your project! It is a creative retreat for all of you artists, entrepreneurs, techies, makers, mad scientists, film folk, performers, investors, inventors and all around awesome creatives.

Our guest speakers are structured around an ask and give format. They are sharing their projects, their experiences, their amazing talents. And in return, they are making an ask of the community to help make their creative dreams reality.

INVITE YOUR FRIENDS! It’s always better when our community reaches out to create inclusion.

So come join us. First timers, Collab vets, and everything in between. We do ask for a $5 donation at the door, but we've never turned away anyone for lack of funds. If you can't help with $5, we'd love to have you help at the door or with set-up/clean-up for 30 minutes or so. We typically have some box wine and snacks, but we also welcome any beverage or food you'd like to add to the mix.Can't wait to see you at the new COLLAB!

The newest addition to Dystopian Studios II/ II Plus goes live next week! Each light is individually controlled for different photo and video effects! Have each light turn on as your subject walks down the hallway. Lights can also rotate 45 degrees for a distinct look. The hallway is an add on with any Studio II rental, and is included with Studio II Plus.

Still the best rates in LA! 2000 sq ft as low as $25/hour, or the full, huge 4000 sq ft Studio II Plus for as low as $35/hour!

Collab unwinds for the month of October...after a late summer flurry of festivals, gallery shows, artwalks and events....it is time for a night of relaxing, hanging out, and decompressing.

What is Collab? Started in 2005, it's an art salon, a creative mixer, and a place to help figure out what you want to get up to next. Anyone is welcome, it is super easy to meet people, share ideas, get inspired, find collaborators, or get help on your project! It is a creative retreat for all of you artists, entrepreneurs, techies, makers, mad scientists, film folk, performers, investors, inventors and all around awesome creatives.

Our guest speakers are structured around an ask and give format. They are sharing their projects, their experiences, their amazing talents. And in return, they are making an ask of the community to help make their creative dreams reality.

OPEN COLLAB ALL NIGHT LONG. We're decompressing too, so we have no scheduled guests - anyone is welcome to come up and talk for a few minutes to discuss their latest project, or just introduce themselves to the Collab community.

- "Squirrelor's Tavern. Our journey to building our own Medieval Tavern." Taylor Frost is a designer and director in Los Angeles. He has worked in film & TV, broadcast, live events, and immersive event design.

- Rebekah Waites is an award winning multidisciplinary artist whose work has been experienced by thousands worldwide. Rebekah’s current installation “Relevé Ladies” continues to not only explore themes inspired by “Relevé” but also the use of repurposed materials.

- Ekaterina Sky will speak on the role of impact art in shifting cultural discourse and highlighting important environmental topics. She will explore how we, as artists, can leverage our creativity and platforms to bring attention to these urgent matters, thereby uniting people in a collective effort to make a difference.
