Our Story
Facilitated by writer-performer Stacie Chaiken, What's the Story? is a group process studio for writers and performers who want to make compelling stories—for the stage, page, screen—based on personal material. Currently offering Monday afternoon and Tuesday evening workshops in Downtown LA, a westside Sunday-afternoon workshop begins in April.
When we want to write about personal experience — stuff that happened, stuff we think may have happened, stuff someone told us happened — there's way too much information for us to see clearly. We have to find a way to carve into meaning or intent, which is what I call story.
I call this workshop What’s the Story? because that’s always the question:
Which story do I want to tell and why?
