Wow, this one was a shocker!

Humbled and honored to be named the 2024 “Member of the Year,” by . This is markedly different than our previous wins for Best Florist, and to me, a mind-boggling achievement. The editorial team selected LV from amongst our amazing peers who advertise and work with the magazine for our contributions to the industry and the CWD community. CWD surrounds its members with the best of the best, encouraging and building each other up with fabulous shoots and collaborations, and gives a showcase for our show-stopping real weddings. To be honored amongst this group has left me speechless (a difficult task if you know me!).

I joined CWD in 2021, when I was doing weddings by myself and from my backyard. This wasn’t a move to “get leads,” but an opportunity to collaborate with the best, help set new trends, and level up my business. From day one, I pledged to be helpful whenever possible, raring to go for anything. The last three years have been fantastic and have led to wonderful friendships, content, collabs, you name it. We give our time, energy and product, and it’s all come back tenfold. The newest issue has Leta Verbena all over—from our award feature, details from a fun cake shoot, a real wedding feature, a styled shoot feature and—gasp—my fourth cover. I’ll never deny that CWD has helped my business thrive to new heights.

Under the leadership of and our editorial Queen , I am thrilled for where we go next. As a small business owner, I am humbled that these women and their team have acknowledged and praised our efforts and time with this award. For anyone still reading, I’ve always said collaboration is the key to this industry. Surround yourself with vendors, pros, advertisers and advisors that have your back, and have theirs in turn.

Final thanks to my team for always being ready and willing to jump into a CWD project and be willing to grind hard when we design. Hugs/shout out to all of the big winners this past week!

Hey Friends! Haven’t shown my face in awhile, but was pretty obsessed with these quick shots captured at a recent networking event.

2024 is off to a good start, but it is definitely going to be a different year for us than in the past. Our industry is a little quiet on the subject, but there just won’t be as many weddings this year—and that’s OK! We are taking the time to revamp, refresh and prepare for new and exciting things.

We just expanded into a larger studio space, have added props and displays to our rental inventory, and investing in education to keep our skills sharp.

Personally, I love this picture as it gives CEO vibes, which is what this year is about for me. I am so passionate about flowers and being a floral designer, but I’m spending more time in the office working on our processes, strategy and the not-so-secret launch of my second floral company. Stay tuned for all the good things coming and cheers to the weekend!

Oh , how we love thee! We’ve written a ton of proposals for this venue in the last few weeks and we are so excited for all of the amazing weddings coming up here!

The Lodge is fantastic venue for so many reasons: flexible indoor and outdoor spaces, gorgeous scenery, beautifully updated ballroom space (that works for nearly any theme), impeccable staff, and the unforgettable food from !

Having done over 15 events here, we know the space inside and out. How to get in and out quickly, what areas are best for big florals, specific palettes that shine, and more. Understanding the ebbs and flow of a space can make all the different in ensuring your florals work seamlessly for the day.

Got my hands dirty with babies breath for the first time in a while this week, so throwing it back to this gorgeous sweetheart table garland we made last year out in the desert. Every time I think the babies breath trend is about to go away, I’m blissfully reminded that this light and airy flower is so versatile, easy to transform and absolutely lovely. It’s a trend that’s really not going anywhere.

Let’s talk tropicals… it took me time, but I love doing tropical weddings, but with some Leta Verbena twists. Incorporating bright colors and non-tropical flowers that still feel tropical—Japanese Ranunuculus, curly Snapdragons, Nerine Lillies—allows a wedding day to feel on-trend but not kitschy.

One final day of our decor! These low gold candelabras are also new to our collection this year, and are already a huge hit! You can fill the center with a wide variety of blooms, but still be able to see other guests at the table. We had a blast making this colorful and fun for the annual WIPA Gala just last month. Here she is! The newest addition to our huge structure inventory: an acrylic chuppah! She’s pretty massive but dang she’s a beauty!

Perfect addition for this gorgeous wedding at Indian Wells Golf Resort, she looks stunning in monochromatic white but we can’t wait to dress it up with color! What would you like to see added here for flowers?

Hello Monday! Wanted to do something different this week: can we talk about decor? You all know we’ve got the flowers down, but do you know how much cool inventory we have to make your whole day pop a little bit more?

For Robby and Erik’s stunning wedding day in Laguna Beach, they let us run wild with their “Chanel by the Sea” concept in all black and white. Together we designed several tablescapes, all unique and different. We brought out our gorgeous ribbed hurricane sleeves (as every taper candle needs to be covered in SoCal folks!), complemented with gold vessels and smokey black votives. Other long tables had billowy centerpieces a top of metal stands (black of course here), with black vessels and more candles. All together, we brought all the chic energy to the beach!

We love designing fun and unique tables with our clients and planners, whether it’s done in our studio or via digital mock-up. Stay tuned for more decor highlights this week!

Happy Friday! Thrilled to announce we have once again been named finalists for Best Florist by !

The magazine expanded their territories this year and we are finalists for Palm Springs, which is our second home, and actually our biggest wedding market for 2024. We would be thrilled to have your vote, and link is in the bio!

Being able to work in the desert is a big dream come true for me, and I feel so connected to all of the amazing venues, palletes, textures, tones, and an amazing vendor community that treats me like I’m a local. We are headed back out to the desert today for another doubleheader.

Well known fact: the desert is our second home. From Palm Springs to La Quinta, we love the assortment of venues, vibes and amazing vendors. It’s a playground of possibilities in regards to color palettes, textures, themes.

But sometimes it just feels good to dig into the earthy and natural tones of this beautiful place. Had a blast making an assortment of details and pieces for while debuting their new property to an assortment of planners. The entire hotel is fabulous and is just new go-to resting spot for long wedding weekends!

Petite but powerful.

When I first started designing bridal bouquets, I gravitated towards large and dramatic pieces, but over time, I’ve learned to embrace how smaller bouquets with lush, colorful and impactful blooms pack the same punch.

Loving bride Corinne’s dainty bouquet here with white and orange dahlias, textural billy balls and dried banksia, along with whimsical orange butterfly ranunculus and astrantia. These desert and fall tones will continue to be popular for years to come!!

requested having a fireplace on the table… and we delivered! 24 tables, over 600 candles, and varieties of eucalyptus nestled within, the Catalina Ballroom at was bathed in candlelight for an intimate dinner setting. While flowers are our main focus, we have an extensive selection of candles, votives and additional decor to help any tabletop feel complete.

It’s that time of year again: voting for ’s Best of 2024 is open! And we are thrilled that Palm Springs has been added as an entire geographical category for wedding vendors. A majority of our 2023 weddings were out in the desert oasis—25 of them—so we would be thrilled for a vote for Best Florist!
