Tasting day = one of the best parts of wedding planning but it’s not just about the bites. Here are a few tips to help you make the most of it:
💰️ If still comparing options, have 2–3 catering quotes ready so you’re comparing vendors who actually fit your vibe + budget
🍧 Think ahead about must-haves like signature drinks, dessert stations, or late-night snacks
🥗 Try everything the way it’s meant to be served (and ideally in the correct season), then tweak as needed
💍 Bring someone whose taste buds you trust
📷️ Take pics + notes (your future self will thank you)
🍸 And if you can, taste those signature drinks or wines while you’re at it

To be loved? Well, it means something special to each individual; sometimes it seems indescribable. For me, to be loved means to be cared for everyday, not only when you need it most. It means to be accepted for all of who I am. It means being someone's priority. It is a level of trust in those around you to help when you know you cannot do something on your own. To be loved means to be understood and to be recognized.
When I think of wedding and event planning, three words come to mind: support, appreciation and love. Weddings and all other events are about gathering people together who support and love you and want to celebrate that. Your wedding is a day when you make the promise to trust, cherish and remain by that one person for forever. It is not a promise that I take lightly, in my own life or for my clients. I believe in everlasting love, which is why I created To Be Loved Events. It operates under the assumption of forever and the promise to make it work through thick and thin. Other events, such as bridal showers, birthdays, baby showers, graduations and many more, are times to recognize how much you are loved and celebrate life with those people who love you most.
Since I was young, I have always taken advantage of planning events for my friends and family. When the people I love are happy, I, in return, am happy, too. I believe that all events are rooted in love, and I want to spend my life creating beautiful moments of love and happiness within the celebrations I create. To be loved means to have trust in someone and be cared for. My ultimate goal is to be the person my clients can trust on their special days and feel like they are truly recognized and understood during the planning process.
I am currently a senior at the University of Oregon pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and minor in Media Studies. I am fortunate enough to have been working with amazing role models in the wedding planning industry in Los Angeles and Eugene which has been providing me with the experience I need to begin planning my own events.
Weddings and events, in my opinion, are made special by those present. Having everyone together for celebrations make for the best of memories. They are times to cherish and share your appreciation for those around you. And, to me, that is what life is all about.
