It’s been a minute since I’ve shown up (or my face) here. So I wanted to re-introduce myself.
Hiiii - I’m Ayanda, the lady usually behind a laptop/ iPad screen planning & coordinating events. For as long as I remember, I’ve always loved weddings. So, being part of them and playing a part in helping you tell your love story as we plan your wedding is an absolute honor for me.
Some of my favorite things about weddings are:
• Meeting clients face to face
• When the couple gets excited when they finally start to see their wedding plans come together
• Tender moments during Vow exchanges
• First dances (especially with really good music)
• Parent dances
• That last hug with the couple at the end of the night/ wedding before their getaway! 🥺

Here are some Wedding Gown Tips:
- Steam your wedding gown the week of/ night before your wedding. Do not leave this for the last minute!
- Do not wear a bra the morning of your wedding if your dress has a bare back or strapless. The lines will show on the photos
- Ask your Wedding Planner or Photog if they have a fancy hanger for you to hang your dress for those breathtaking dress photos!

WHEN TO PURCHASE YOUR WEDDING SHOES?
While it is common to find your wedding dress before buying your wedding shoe, you should
be considering purchasing them around the same time. Not just because you need to figure out how to match, but because you will need the shoes for dress fitting and alterations.
If you are ordering your shoes online, make sure the company has a great return policy before making a purchase! You will also need to take into consideration the amount of time it takes for shipping.

3 Things you need to know about the “Shot List”
To sum it up, your wedding photographer doesn’t really need a checklist or collection of shots for “inspiration”. These few ideas may help bring out that “wow” effect in your photos:
* DO let your photographer know about the special people, special moments, and personal details you’d like for them to capture and highlight.
* Get specific with your family groupings list and include as much helpful information as possible. Instead of listing only Bride’s Grandparents + Parents + Siblings, try this instead: Grandparents (Emily & Richard) + Parents (Lorelei & Jack) + Siblings (Rori, Lane, and Dean). This helps clear up so much confusion because the photographer(s) may not know all your family members and who Grandma Emily and Aunt Sukie are.
* Provide your family group photo list as soon as possible to ensure enough time is accounted for on the timeline!
Trust your wedding photographer to capture your day’s events as they unfold in a way that reflects their creativity and style as an artist (remember, you hired them because you liked their work, right?) and that also reflects you, your family and your story as well.
Your love is like no one else’s, so your wedding photos shouldn’t be like anyone else’s either.

Most jewelers offer a complimentary ring cleaning for your engagement ring! Even if you’ve been married for a while, you can still get your ring cleaned.
Writing your own vows 🤍
As a couple, there may be a few times when you have been or will be very vulnerable with each other. But up until you are both at the altar, about to exchange your vows, you will probably never be
more vulnerable to the person you love than you are
at that moment. So don’t hold back! Share every feeling and every thought with the person you're devoting your life to.
The biggest piece of advice we offer, if you decide to write your own vows:
• Write several drafts. You may write from your heart and think the first draft is absolutely
perfect. It says everything you want it to! But trust
us, each draft just gets better and better.
• Try not wait until the last minute to write your vows! The best vows are typically written throughout your planning process. So start as early as possible. When you feel those moments of overwhelming love and joy, sit down and write what you're feeling as you're feeling it.
Do this every time you feel that way and in the end, you'll have beautiful, authentic, touching, tear-provoking vows!

Wedding Shoes Tip.
Your wedding shoes may not seem like a big deal but they will star in the photos! You will spend
many hours in them, so they better be comfortable enough and you wouldn’t want to be looking forward to throwing them away! 😅
To avoid this:
• Remember to wear them each day BEFORE your wedding day for about 10-15 minutes to break them in. Do this for at least 3-4 days. If you wear them for the first time on your big day, that's a recipe for a blister-fest. Ouch!
• Bring an extra pair of flat shoes to dance in or just relax. I say, it’s better to have them and not need them than the need them and not have them!
Now, go strut your gorgeous stuff! ✨
