The flowers will not die, they are easy to clean, are hypoallergenic and sustainable! Rhonda was born and raised in the Kansas City area. She is a huge baseball fan and always cheers for her Royals, even when they don't win many games! Rhonda has always loved crafting. She started making Forever Flowers a few years ago. She became interested in Forever Flowers after spending time with an elderly f

riend, Marie, who lived in a nursing home. Marie’s son would send beautiful large bouquets of live flowers to his mother. It was such a struggle for Marie to change out the water in the bouquets. Rhonda wanted to find a way for Marie to enjoy flowers without the struggle. Forever Flowers were the perfect answer! Q: What’s your favorite textile in making your flowers? A: If I’m working with crepe paper, I will tell you crepe paper is my favorite; if I’m working with felt, I will tell you felt is my favorite. Q: How did you learn to make Forever Flowers? A: My first project was through Creativebug, found on my local library’s website. I enjoyed it so much that I started searching online for other courses. I’ve taken some masterclasses to learn new techniques. My favorite way to learn is to try something and fail and then figure out a better way to do it. I like to play around with different patterns and coloring techniques. It’s fun to see how realistic I can make some flowers, and other times it’s fun to see how abstract I can make them.

I took a mental health day today and went up to to have a Zentangle lesson with Sr. Patricia. I may be a little obsessed now. 🤷‍♀️ Wow!! What a cool way to relax and unwind for a while.

This was a recent custom order. I was given an empty vase, a budget, and the request to “make something pretty”. My favorite kind of order!!!! I hope this did not disappoint. Here’s to a great weekend!!🌸🌷🌺🌻🪻

This was a cute little gift for one of my very favorite people ♥️💙💜 It was my first time making a bug out of crepe paper. I think there may be more in my future. So fun!!!

Happy weekend!! I had so much fun making this Ranunculus. There’s something very satisfying about cutting out so many petals and shaping them and then assembling this beautiful flower. It was very meditative. I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

I’m trying out a new technique…coloring the paper before cutting and shaping and assemble. For the purple, I “painted” on plain water to draw out some of the original color. For the pink ombre, I started with white crêpe paper and used watercolor and then acrylic marker to add in some detailed lines. Stay tuned to see if this is a success or not 🤷‍♀️🌷🌸 .

I’ve had a request for irises for a custom order. I’ve never made irises before, so that’s what I am learning this week. It’s been a fun process. I’m still tweaking the pattern but I’m excited to see how the final flowers turn out. Stay tuned! .

Special Announcement—I’m taking a short break from taking any new custom orders for a few months. Life is getting pretty busy with a lot of really great things this Fall and Winter so I’m just taking a short pause until the first of the year.
