“I was honored that one of my closest friends asked me offer a toast after their wedding. After weeks of preparing what I thought were harmless but witty events, I stood up and talked about the fun times we had together as a group. Then suddenly a horrified look came over the bride. I got flustered and ended my toast before it was too late.

I'd clearly said something wrong.

Later on, I learned that the bride was supposed to be somewhere other than where she was during one of the events I'd shared. Fortunately, her dad didn't catch on, so she was in the clear. From now on, I'll run my presentation by anyone who asks me to speak about them at a public event.”
