I (Sherry) got away to spend some relaxing family time in beautiful South Haven, Michican, a couple of weeks ago. The landscapes were stunning! We went sailing, puzzled together and enjoyed local produce from the farmers market in Holland, Michigan. I'm grateful for time away to recharge and make memories with my family!

Les Dames d'Escoffier International Conference Brunch
Sunday = Brunchday! This time last Sunday, Farm to Fork was hosting the Farewell Brunch for the Les Dames d'Escoffier Int'l (LDEI) Conference at The Butcher Rose!
So much goodness in one brunch including:
• A local cheese board featuring Capriole Goat Cheese and Kennys Farmhouse Cheese
• Bite-size sweet potato and Kentucky bourbon pies from Georgia Sweet Potato Pie Company
• A mimosa bar with juice shaken not stirred by my friend Nicole Stipp of Trouble Bar
• Pickled Shrimp Salad and Island Banana Bread from Toni Tipton-Martin's cookbook, Jubilee
• A Bloody Mary bar with mix from Toni's forthcoming cocktail cookbook - available for pre-order!
• Libations including spirits for our coffee bar courtesy of Heaven Hill Distillery
• Lots of Farm to Fork favorites including our biscuits, tartlets, and apple crisp parfaits!
Les Dames d'Escoffier International Conference
My heart, mind, and belly are still happy and full from the wonderful time I had connecting with old friends and new at the Les Dames d'Escoffier Int'l (LDEI) conference hosted by Les Dames d'Escoffier: Kentucky Chapter this past weekend! More posts and details to come, but I wanted to share some of my favorite moments and dishes!
Summer 2023, you were a dream. Thankful for the time away to experience the beauty of the northeast on a road trip with my husband. The journey was filled with natural beauty, great food, and wonderful friends. I got to sneak in a trip to Florida to visit my mom, too. We are recharged and ready for fall events! Let's go!
If you're near Harlan, Kentucky, you must make a stop at Harlan County Beer Company. It's the first legal brewery in Harlan County. It's housed in a beautifully-restored 100-year-old historic building on the courthouse square in downtown Harlan. They are serving up high-quality beer and delicious, locally-inspired food, so make sure you pay them a visit!
Also, check out Moonbow Tipple Coffee & Sweets while you're there! I didn't get as many photos, but it is equally amazing!

Thank you to West Sixth NuLu for having us to their recent private event open house. The natural light-filled, laid-back-and-comfortable atmosphere of their private event-spaces was as enjoyable as the beverages were delicious! And it’s not just for beer lovers, their cocktails like their Kentucky Mule, are so good, too! We can't wait to cater here soon!

We've been having fun creating some new appetizers that we can't wait for you to try! This one recently debuted to rave reviews and features fresh, hand-made flatbread with caramelized butternut squash, blue cheese from Kenny's Farmhouse Cheese, sage and a microgreens garnish. Soo good!
