It's finally race week! We are excited for the Race the Runway 5.02K this Saturday!
Below is important information we wanted to share to make your race experience smooth and enjoyable. There is a lot of information, so please read through it all.
RACE LOCATION:
Bowman Field
2815 Taylorsville Road
RACE START TIME:
The race begins at 9 a.m. ET.
PACKET PICKUP:
You can pick up your race shirt and bib at the times. If you need to exchange your shirt, there will be a table following the race where you can exchange based on size availability. Bowman Field Administrative Office

– Fri., Nov. 15, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
– Sat. Nov. 16 (race morning), 8 – 8:45 a.m.
START/FINISH LINE:
The start & finish line will be located directly in front of the Flight Club 502 at Bowman Field.
PARKING:
You’ll access parking via the Le Relais parking lot located at 2817 Taylorsville Rd. There will be a parking attendant directing you to an adjacent grass parking area.
RESTROOMS:
There will be multiple port-a-pots located at the start and finish lines.
WEATHER:
As of this writing, the weather forecast is calling for great conditions – sunny with a low of 43f and high of 67F. The Race the Runway 5.02K will take place rain or shine. If there are any
storms or severe weather conditions, we will keep you informed via social media of any race
delays or changes.
POST-RACE:
After you finish the Race the Runway 5.02K, we'll have post-race refreshments that include water, sports drinks, fruit and granola bars. An awards ceremony for the men's, women's and non-binary overall winners will take place at approximately 10:15 a.m. next to the Finish Line. We'll also present awards to the top three finishers in these age categories: 14 & under, 15-19,
20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 & over.
In addition to the age group awards, Mayor Craig Greenberg will present the Planet Fitness Mayorthon official challenge coin to everyone who signed up to complete the four-race series.
MEDICAL:
Norton Sports Health is proud to be the official medical provider for the Race the Runway 5.02K. If you should need anything, you can find medical members from the Norton Sports Health team
at the finish line.
SAFETY PROTOCOLS:
Our number one goal is to ensure all our race participants, staff and volunteers have a safe and fun experience. At this year’s race, hand washing and sanitizing stations will be at the start/finish line; all port-a-pots will also have hand sanitizers. For more information, check out our race FAQs here:
