It’s a wrap! What an incredible 3 days working as Event Managers for the Women's Business Enterprise Council Ohio River Valley Catch the Wave Conference for the third year in a row. After a year of working with the WBEC ORV team, event partners and numerous vendors, a stellar conference was presented to the KY, Ohio and West Virginia WBE’s and Corporate members in Cincinnati, Ohio.

We were both surprised and honored when Splendid Events, LLC was presented the Kentucky WBE Advocate of the Year Award! Thank you Lynnise Smith and WBEC ORV for this prestigious honor.

Huge thanks also to our own Team SE, the WBEC ORV Team and the Easley Blessed Team for the tireless hours spent making sure every detail was in place for a successful conference. It was a SPLENDID EVENT!

Saturday was a bittersweet day for us. After nearly 15 years in business, we coordinated our last wedding and we went out with a bang! Our business model has changed and our focus will now be on Corporate, Nonprofit and select Private events. We love and thank all our Brides and Grooms for trusting us with the biggest day of your lives. We love you all!!

Thankful for another SPLENDID Brain Injury Alliance Of Kentucky Brain Run, Walk & Roll! It’s a wonderful sight when all the walkers, 5K runners and rollers (wheelchairs) come together to support those who have survived traumatic brain injuries or illnesses. Thank you Louisville Urban League, Inc. for choosing us as your Event Managers! After months of planning, the L*L Derby Gala featuring Jon Batiste and DJ Mannie Fresh was a huge success! It took a small army to convert the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center (Indoor Track) into an elegant Gala Venue. We did it!

To Lyndon, Ebbony, Cherilyn, Michelle, Peggy and the L*L Team, our SE Team and our Event Partners, there are not enough words to express our thanks!
