As wedding planners, we often asked about easy “hacks.” Here a few that actually work.
- Have dual uses for wedding décor that can go from ceremony to reception in a different way.
- Choose a "fake" designer cake for cutting purposes during the reception, but have a sheet cake to be cut and served to guests by the caterer.
- Wear and rough up the soles of your shoes prior to the wedding day to break them in and ensure you won't slip in them on your wedding day.

5 secrets to having the “perfect” wedding day:

- Hire a professional wedding planner so you can relax & enjoy one of the best moments of your life, as well as ensure your day has a smooth flow.
- Set a wedding budget and stick to it if possible. If you do exceed the budget, ensure you don't start your marriage off in debt for 1 day.
- Soak up every moment because the day goes by so fast.

A Magical Wedding Moment: We once had a couple request a beautiful white horse for their wedding at a castle. We reached out to our wedding vendor network and were able to secure one house. But, on the wedding day THREE horses showed up! Needless to say, the wedding was a hit!

Planning wedding is a huge undertaking and can feel stressful. Plan date nights that do not include wedding talk, laugh together, prioritize your relationship…and your sanity during the process.

*New email alert* You’re wedding photos are in!! Such an exciting time, but now what?! Don’t just scroll through the DropBox link on your phone – have fun with it and make it an event. Set up your computer, screen share to the tv and explore the photo gallery together as a couple. Take your time and savor the moments captured in the hundreds of photos. And most importantly, move beyond the digital space and print your favorite photos to hang in your home. Truly cherish those memories.

Bridal tip! The instinct is to hold the hands and bouquet up near the chest, especially when nervous. Try to remember to lower your arms. Holding the bouquet lower on the waste looks lovely in photos, and doesn't cover the beautiful neckline of your dress.

Do not feel the need to fill your wedding registry with items that you probably won’t even use. Many wedding websites allow you set up wedding funds for your guests to give money using their credit card. You can create a Honeymoon Fund, Building our Future Home Fund, or any other that you wish. Easily transfer the funds to your bank account after the wedding.
