Good mernin and happy Sunday!
A complicated forecast today. Let me splain.
Areas of low clouds, patchy fog, and light drizzle due to all the moisture left over from yesterday's storms. This will factor into the forecast today.
Here's the skinny:
More clouds = more stable air = decreased storms
Less clouds = more sunshine = more instability = strong to severe storms and a threat for flash flooding due to slow moving storms.
We're in a monsoon type pattern where there's not a lot of wind shear aloft so storms today will push up and behave erratically like popcorn. They'll be slow movers so the threat of flash flooding is also possible.
Greatest threat of strong to severe thunderstorms exists along the immediate I-25 corridor as well as going west into the foothills.
Timing on or after 2pm.
I believe the farther away from I-25 you get towards the east, the better off you'll be. I'll update in real time; so be patient and I will keep you posted.

Where were you when the LA Times covered LOVELAND, Colo?

Pinned against a wooden rail, battered with axes, the knight staggered. Two attackers, clad in armor from head to toe, tried to kick his legs from under him.

There was a flash of steel, and out of nowhere, 280 pounds of man and metal smashed into the surprised assailants, collapsing them in a clanking heap.

The audience howled.

What are Percherons? They show themselves intelligent and willing to perform. Despite that they are HUGE, they are by no means cumbersome. They are easy going and willing to JOUST ALL DAY LONG!

Bane the Pain, is the teenager of the Troop and a pain because, well, teenager. This character is a Percheron-Mustang cross, he is industrious and mischievous.

Odin, the middle child, often organizes jousting practice with or without the knights in their Utah pasture. He keeps a close eye on Hooman-Mama-Christy and she on him.

Arthur, the elder statesman, has enormous endurance, a wonderful disposition and loyal character. He also eats like a pig.

This blended family has found their forever home with the Knights of Mayhem after being rescued from less than great conditions.

The Percheron horse is – due to its mass – not a boring animal, but can sometimes be observed doing lively buck jumps. These animals love life and want to show off at the 2024 Colorado Medieval Festival.

Our Story

The Colorado Medieval Festival will be May 29, 30 and 31st, 2020 just west of Loveland in The Savage Woods with the landmark of the Devil’s Backbone as a breathtaking backdrop. 1750 Savage Road, Loveland, CO. Friday the festival will open at 3pm and close at 8pm. Saturday and Sunday will open at 10am and closing at 6:30pm. The Colorado Medieval Festival prides itself on giving exposure and vending space to local artists and crafters. We look for local musicians, beer and mead makers and we look to our neighbors for specialty Colorado and Wyoming products. This festival is small, but growing. Our little festival will not be "period correct" and it will not fit the mold of every other "RenFaire" in the United States. We try new ideas and try to keep the admission cost low to allow for an affordable good time. Live Knight Fights join the festival with heart-pounding live steel fighting!

We are pleased to welcome back our friend and neighbor Wendy Woo! More musical talents to be announced in the coming months.

2020 brings MORE FOOD, MORE BEER, MORE OF EVERYTHING!!

Regular admission to the festival is $13 per person, $8 for 6 to 12, children 5 and under are free. Parking is FREE. 1750 Savage Road is 2 miles west of Loveland, the 2nd right hand turn off of Glade Road.
