Year 3 update on Semp'ly Adorned, my life-size succulent horse topiary: drought tolerant, cold-hardy sempervivum and sedum. Year 1 - contended with birds taking moss for their nests (no big deal - glad I could help). Year 2 - a squirrel has gotten into a side...my husband removed her and her stored nuts. Year 3 - Spring started out beautifully. Plants wintered over perfectly, in the element and we're vibrant and healthy this Spring. Extreme temps, heatwave and a watering one morning contributed to a bit of sunburn...but a 2-hour grooming and she looks lovely. Oh and she recently got a beautiful, antique Meadowbrook carriage!
