Burrr… the time has come to say “see you later” to our backyard blooms. This has been an incredible season. We learned so much and had the pleasure of meeting and serving so many beautiful people. From the bottom of our hearts we want to thank everyone for your support this year. We couldn’t do what we do with out you. Your not just buying flowers, your supporting our families, supporting our daughters, and supporting our futures. We are so humbled.
Please continue to follow your Ladies of the Valley through our off season, we will be selling festive porch pots and table centerpieces this Holiday season. There is also so much to do in preparation for next year. Right now we are prepping our beds and planting tulip bulbs. We have so many new varieties of seeds that we will start inside. We are also planning to winter sow for the first time. Although we will miss the view out of our windows of our colorful buzzing gardens, we will be busy working on them from the inside.
Again thank you for everything. Jar donations, special orders, weekly clients, shares and likes, meeting new friends and hearing their stories at the stand, and at events and markets. You make our hearts so full, and remind us why we do what we love. Stay warm, and be well friends. We will see you soon.

We enjoyed this possibly last hot day in the garden. There are so many beautiful flowers still blooming. Did you know that the state of Michigan passed legislation this summer making breakfast and lunch free to all public school students grades K-12? You should see all the children lining up for breakfast who would normally go with out. Public schools lunch numbers have doubled and tripled in the week we’ve been back to school. Children are being fed nutritious meals twice a day. We don’t know what’s cooler than that! Forest Hills Public Schools wanted to give their food service teams at every school a bouquet today to thank them for all their hard work the last week adjusting to the higher number of meals they are providing. Not all hero’s wear capes.
