Welcome to our first Free Veterans Day Dinner and Program this Saturday, November 9, at the Lowell Grange. Due to the limited seating capacity and nature of the program reservations are filling up fast. If interested please call 541.556.7905 to place your free dinner and program reservation.

The doors will open at 4:45pm with the Presentation of Colors beginning promptly at 5:15pm.

I am so grateful for my student helpers in my shop. Meg Grecian has been very helpful with
her positive, energizing, and "can do" spirit with our business projects. She is the oldest sibling of six siblings and teaches ballet classes for young school age children, and also serves as a youth leader for her church. One day I handed her a bunch of flowers I had dried earlier and asked if she would like to create small bundles of her design choice for future projects (Pictured top right). I was amazed! We have utilized these bundles for a rustic floral design and pumpkin art at our pumpkin carving gathering last night. She reminds me so much of my oldest granddaughter who resides in Washington, who also is a fabulous floral designer and has been an incredible help in my shop. Perhaps one day we all can meet including my other granddaughter and create together. ❤️

We are almost fully seated for our free Veterans Day Dinner Saturday, November 9 beginning at 5:15pm at the Lowell Grange.

Due to the limited seating capacity and special program we are filling up fast. If you are still interested, please call 541.556.7905 to place your free dinner and program reservation.

We have had tremendous support from folks asking how they can help. We will be conducting a free raffle for a Veterans Day basket that has traditionally been filled with items from local businesses and community for our Veteran. If you would like to donate an item for the basket, feel free to call, text, or dm me at 541.556.7905.

Origin of this event:

As a former Army wife, daughter, and sister of Veterans in my family, this event originated as a personal project to honor a few of our Veterans with a complimentary rose, flag, and coffee gift card from my business, Floral Living. Beginning with eight deliveries, the first year, we grew to 40 deliveries in the third year combined with a gift basket giveaway filled with donations from our local businesses and community. A vision for the future was to provide a free community dinner for our veterans.

Our vision is coming to fruition. It is my pleasure and honor to partner with Army Veteran and friend, Penny Johnson in sponsoring and facilitating our first free Veterans Day Dinner and program to honor our local Veterans at the Lowell Grange this November 9.

A homemade spaghetti dinner and program for our Veteran and guest will be provided.

Garden Whimsy 😃

It began as a fond memory visiting Florida back in the early 1980's as a Rochester, Minnesota college choir student performing at Disney World and Sea World with my college choir. Making memories with wonderful people, white sandy beaches, the scent of orange blossoms, fresh seafood, and pink flamingos still remain in my heart.

In addition, I had the most incredible experience visiting my cousins with my brother last year in Jacksonville, Florida. It was a family reunion for I had not been in contact in person with them since I was a young girl. They have lived in Florida most of their adult life which is why pink flamingos remind me of my Florida family. Cousin Shelley gifted me my first pink flamingo tree ornament. From that point, I was smitten, and word traveled among my pink feathered friends. Lol

Thanks to my family and friends who have gifted me more flamingos along the way, my fine pink feathered friends decided to become Oregon residents. Lol

While pink is a bit unconventional for fall decor, I found pink pumpkin pillows for the flamingos in keeping with their native vibe. They decided to stay. Lol

Happy Pink Flamingo Fall. To all my flamingo people, I won't mention any names like Janet Keene or Shari Haynes Stewart ,🤣
