Always a pleasure to represent Texas Earth, Inc on the Texas Department of Agriculture’s TAFA Board. My favorite part (besides serving my great state) is knowing valuable funds are being distributed to support programs like the Young Farmers Grant and other lending options making farming and operating ag businesses affordable and accessible to all Texans. I want to extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to Abigail Oliver for all her hard work and dedication to Texas Earth, Inc and Patina Flower Farm. This flower farm was a dream of hers and together her were able to make it a reality. It’s been such a fun and challenging passion project!
She’s headed off to a great new job and will be sorely missed. I want to say how proud I am of her for committing to finding a job that drives her passion for flowers and not settling for something that did not feed her soul. There’s no doubt she will do great things in her field. I admire her kind heart and patient spirit.
Abby will remain involved as the farm evolves into its next phase and we are all grateful for continual change and adaptation, which is what Patina is all about! This picture is her last arrangement and I think is the most beautiful one of the entire season. Thank you Abby for all you have taught me…you’re a rockstar!
