Welcome to Gals that Brunch Lubbock !

Gals That Brunch - Lubbock is part of the global community Gals That Brunch that started in 2015 and is now on six continents.

Our mission is simple: to give women a place to meet, catch up, and make friends over brunch!

Every month, women set aside politics, religion, and work to get to know each other. We want every woman to feel seen, heard, and not alone.

We don’t start by talking about our jobs because this isn't a business networking event. Introduce yourself by sharing about you, not what you do.

We don’t promote businesses in this group, except for the ones we visit.

Our monthly brunch is a ⭐️ PRIVATE CATERED EVENT ⭐️, and you can buy tickets until the Wednesday before.

The Reserve Culinary Tavern is one of Lubbock's affordable luxury dining experiences.

I'm excited because this is the same ticket price that we got with them when we went over a year ago -- so that means that The Reserve ❤️ Gals That Brunch - Lubbock .

Gals that Brunch Lubbock will be volunteering to provide the dinner for families at RMHC of the Southwest.

🗓 Dates we have reserved:

• Sunday, June 9th
• Sunday, June 16th (Father's Day)
• Monday, June 24th

Need 8️⃣ to 🔟 volunteers per day.

We are required to bring the ingredients for 25 - 40 guests.

⏰️ If you sign up for a day, please be prepared to be available from 1pm - 6:30pm.

We can virtually decide on menus and then meet at United or HEB to buy the ingredients and then head over there and prepare the meal.

💰 Monetary Commitment will depend on menu.

🥂 Gals That Brunch - Lubbock had our 18th Community Brunch at Picoso's Mexican Kitchen.

Y'all ... Picoso’s treated us like GOLD!

One of the gals said, "This is how the Europeans eat. Multiple courses brought out and enjoying conversation." 💕

We also got to try their take on elevated French Toast with the Dulce de Leche Frech Toast.

Everything was fresh and the service was fantastic.

I adore this comnunity and love this monthly celebration of friendship.

During the month if May, Picoso’s Mexican Kitchen's community spotlight is on the New Legacy Home for Women and we had two items from that menu - the Watermelon Mocktail and the Churro Donut with Ice Cream.

Y'all ... when I tell you that I enjoyed the mocktail more than my mimosas ....it was soo good!

Picoso's Mexican Kitchen is a locally owned and operated concept.

🥂 May Community Brunch 🥂

Picoso’s Mexican Kitchen is still preparing the full menu for us, but two items they will be including are part of their menu for their community spotlight -- New Legacy Home for Women.

Each month Picoso's Mexican Kitchen spotlights a community organization in which a portion of proceeds from certain menu items go to that organization.

💛 New Legacy Home for Women is a program that, "exists to provide opportunities for women to write a new life story ...and radically change the legacy they leave for future generations.

Two items on our May 18th Brunch menu that proceeds will go towards this organization is the churro donut with ice cream and the Watermelon Mocktail (pictured).

Tickets are ✨️ALL INCLUSIVE✨️ at $47 per person with food and beverages, gratuity and tax.
* no refunds will be given after Tuesday, May 14th.

The Gals met up for the first of many patio meet-ups at Mano Negra Brewing Co. one of Lubbock's speciality brewers -- we will be back for the watermelon sangria!

They have indoor and outdoor seating options, Thursday night specials for Teachers and Nurses, Salsa nights and more!

We are going to slow things down a little in April and just meet before the busy starts in May.

🥂 Welcome to Gals That Brunch - Lubbock !!

Gals that Brunch Lubbock is part of Gals That Brunch which is a 🌎 GLOBAL MOVEMENT🌏 for women to get together and just be themselves - no business cards and no agenda.

The focus is to create a space where women can be themselves and remember who they are outside of mother, daughter, wife/partner, business owner, employee, etc.

Those titles go out the window and the only one that matters is your first name.

We encourage getting together socially, and schedule 4 to 6 social events per month and one being our ⭐️ Community Brunch ⭐️

Our Community Brunch is when you can wear that outfit you've been waiting to wear, get together with the gal that you met at the last brunch, and brunch!

You are encouraged to be yourself.
You are welcomed as you are.

No matter who you love, how you worship, what age group or tax bracket you fall into -- you can sit with us. 💛

We don't just say we encourage inclusivity and diversity -- we represent it.

Each woman in this group represents the TRUE community of Lubbock.

❄️ We need another good snow and freeze to get rid of whatever this crud is that is going around.

Until then, CryoFit Lubbock has given us an amazing deal for Monday -- IV therapy (I am getting the Immune Boost) and the CryoTherapy Chamber.

Three of the coldest minutes of your life, but it works!! After I did it, my ability to fall asleep was quicker and my actual sleep was restful.

🍝 Last night had an amazing Dine + Discuss event.

The information given and the way it was explained in terms that anyone could understand.

✨️ Thank you Stella's Restaurant for always being such a fantastic host.

✨️ Thank you Jessica Adlam and Anna Delano for providing a highly informative session.

The three points that stood out:

• No bashing of other companies or name dropping.
• Consumer Education FIRST
• Understanding Winter/Summer months in the Electricity world

Not going to tell you who to go with, but will reiterate the points that were made to us --

DO ⭐️ YOUR ⭐️ RESEARCH.
ASK FOR THE 👏 ALL 👏 IN 👏 PRICE.

One more thing ...

Understanding how the price per kWh is determined.

Some companies are adding a BASE charge if you use LESS than a certain kWh ...ASK THE ALL IN PRICE and if there is a BASE CHARGE added.

The example was for 500kWh with a base charge because it was less than 800kWh.

It STARTED at 16.9c , but when the base charge was added it actually ended up being 18.9c per kWh.

One of the speakers had to back out due to a family issue outside of Lubbock.

We still have a great gal speaking and answering questions -- Anna Delano.

Anna is the Lubbock Region Manager for .

She was selected by Reliant in 2022 as the Lubbock Region Manager because of her involvement in the community and the outstanding work she did while employed at Texas Tech.

💡 Bring your questions about : contracts, kilowatt hours, how Reliant is planning to continue to contribute to the community and anything else.

Looking to secure another NON-BROKER or consultant speaker to answer the question -- where did all these options come from?!

The purpose is to have a better understanding and make an educated decision that works best for your budget and household without pressure to decide at that moment.

My answer: Friendship has no age limit.

💞 Friendship doesn't see or exclude because of race, orientation, religious or political beliefs.

Friendship is a renewable source of energy.

Friendship combats loneliness, heals previous wounds, and encourages greatness.

Friendship is within everyone's reach.

I can have the same conversation with a 15-year old gal as I can with an 85-year old gal ...their experiences are different.

Friendship requires an open mind that we are all more alike than we are different and that's what makes the gift of friendship so beautiful.

In addition to monthly community brunch we will have 1️⃣ monthly dinner called "Dine + Discuss."

Dine + Discuss will allow us to come together for personal development and understanding.

We will begin in February (working out exacts, but it will be either the 6th or 7th).

💡 February Discussion : Deregulation & the Power to Choose.

Speakers will be extremely knowledgeable and make 🚫 NO COMMISSION 🚫 off of our discussion nor will they have you feeling like you have to choose at that moment.

Speakers will be extensively trained individuals who will provide guidance, understanding, and answering questions about YOUR choice.

When it is said that Gals that Brunch Lubbock is a community bigger than brunch - we are!
