Good morning! Have a great day.
Was laying down resting, praying and, I wondered how God felt when I reach out to Him in prayer. Is He pleased when I talk to Him? Does He smile like I do when my children text me saying "good morning mom, hope you have a great day, or they give me good news about things in their lives and say I love you mom." Prayer is how we communicate with God and we’re told to do it continually. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-19 says, "16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.19 Do not quench the Spirit." Talking with God reminds us that He’s with us through the good and the bad. Sharing our news with God, even though He already knows all about it, is like the smile I get when I read texts from my children.
We have peace, when we turn out to God. Regardless of what you face, continually speak to God and keep in touch with our Creator and Savior. Whisper a prayer and remember to rejoice and “give thanks.” After all, Paul says, this is “God’s will” for us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18.

I love you!

Good morning

We all face situations in life when we feel scared and alone. The Bible tells us in Joshua," Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”' (Joshua 1:9).God is all-powerful and all-knowing. He has the answers and the strength we need to face any challenge that comes before us. God was with Joshua, during a challenging time and He will be with us also. God wanted Joshua to obey all the laws and commandments that He had given Moses. He expected Joshua to be strong and courageous so that he could obey Him without wavering.
God wants us to follow His Commandments also. In some situations, you may find that when you are trying to obey God's commandments, temptations and tribulations will rise up to stop you from obeying. God has already given you the same promise He gave Joshua, He will be with you and never leave you or forsake you, all you have to is be strong and courageous wherever you go, and to depend totally on God!

I love you!

Good Morning
It has taken me years to really understand what God meant when he said this in Luke 6:28-30, it reads, "28 Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back." It is very hard to forget and forgive when someone hurts you or a member of your family. We hate it when someone lies on us, steals from us, or treats us badly without reason. We let our emotions get a hold of us and want to strike back.
Jesus recognized that there would be enemies who would attack us! He tells us not to wander through life, unaware of what or who threatens us or plans to harm us. We should not turn a blind eye to evil. Jesus commands us to love those we perceive to be our enemies. To love our enemies means do not wish evil upon them; it means making a conscious effort to find a path to our own mercy. Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:44 says "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" Be aware and pray for your enemies and search ways to forgive rather than get revenge.

I love you!

Good morning, This is another day that the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it. The weekend is here and some are ready for vacation, others need rest and relaxation, while others are still on the grind working, praying, and doing God's business. Let's thank Him for another opportunity to serve. Thank you God, for this new day and all of the blessings it will bring. We ask for your guidance and presence as we go about our daily tasks and responsibilities. Please give us the strength and resilience to face whatever challenges may come our way, and help us to be a source of love and support for those around us.Psalm 59:9, 16 and17 says,
“You are my strength, I watch for you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely.
… I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. Lord we pray for your protection and care for all those in need, and for your wisdom and discernment to guide us in making good choices today. We trust in your love and care for us, and we pray for your continued presence today and everyday. Let's do it!

I love you!

Do you ever feel anxious overwhelmed, stressed, and even lost at times? There are days that I am all of the above! Was reading and stumbled on the scripture
Ephesians 6:11-13, putting on the whole armor of God everyday. The word says; we need God’s armor to have a victorious life. Before we get dressed we must strap on the belt of truth, breastplate of of righteousness, shoes of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit. Without God’s armor and His Word we will struggle, through daily activities. The armor of God gives us the power we need in our spiritual lives, the power we need to fight a war against Satan, who seeks to destroy us. We must take action and put on God's armor. As Christians, it is important for us to understand the severity of spiritual warfare. Remember before you get dressed for the day, put on your protection first, followed by the daily word, and skip off into battle ready to fight!

I love you!

What is a true friend? A true friend is someone who loves and supports you through life's challenges, even when it's difficult. They give hard but valuable advice, stand by you when others leave, and care about you holistically. Real friendships require self-sacrifice and unconditional love. Friendships are not based on the same expectations as relationships with family or partners. Proverbs 18:24 says “Friends come and friends go, but a true friend sticks by you like family.” Friendship is also a fruit of godly virtue and a gift of God's grace, making it an important part of Christian discipleship. Today I pray for all of my friends, those from the sandbox Lanny and Tammy Leach, Cynthia Smith Martin. Rhonda Moore Thompson from middle school. Pat Blue my FHS friend, Judith Belton and my Hampton Friends, co worker friends, sorority sisters, church friends, friends Vernon gave me; Steve and Darnella, Sophisticated Ladies Book Club members. Las Amigas friends, and others You appointed, in my life and only You know why You picked them; Billie Ann, Angela, Angela B, Deborah, Barbara, and Jewel Long. Lord Jesus, Thank you for giving me such a vibrant community of friends to do life with. I praise you for the people you have blessed me with, the ones who have come along to love, encourage, support, and uplift me through all the twists and turns of my life. I'm so grateful that I do not have to go through life alone, you have shown me your love through my friends. I pray that you will always be present in my friendships, and that you would draw us together in deeper community with one another and unity with you. I pray that you will heal any places of brokenness in my friendships, and that you would restore any friendships that have fallen apart. This I ask, in Jesus’ name. Amen

I love you!

Good morning

The Bible is filled with Scriptures that can provide an uplifting word of hope and encouragement for us every day. The Scriptures can help us develop the strength needed to persevere through life's challenges. God wants us to to be comfortable in our times of need. If you are overwhelmed and anxious, the Bible can lift your spirits!
When discouraged read verses from the Bible and experience God's healing power for your heart, mind and soul. Meditate on the following verses throughout the day and share them with your friends so you can send encouragement and impact someone else's day!
John 16:33: I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
Isaiah 41:10: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Philippians 4:6-7: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Despair and anxiety have always been and will always be a part of life on Earth, but we will find strength and guidance in the Bible. No matter what we face; job loss, relationship conflict, death of a loved ones, or financial crisis reading Scripture will help you stay focused on God's promises! God wants to encourage us to find joy and peace in Him every day. That's why the Scriptures are packed with encouraging verses! We were meant to find hope through Jesus Christ and the love of God.
Joshua 1:9: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Good morning

Have you ever thought about how much time you spend being stressed, anxious and worried about things? I tend to overthink and sometimes overthinking leads to worrying about things that I shouldn’t worry about. I spend too much of my time thinking about my future and how things will work out when I should be remembering that Jesus Christ changed my life. God has given me salvation through His only Son, so I should trust Him in every aspect of my life. I am undeserving of everything that He has given me…why wouldn’t I rest in His promises and trust that He will take care of me no matter what. I can make my own plans, but the Lord directs my path. All I can do is take life day by day, living according to His Word as it is a guide for my life. As believers, we should be good stewards of our time, talents, and treasures. We should rely on Him to direct our paths as we try to live for Him. We shouldn’t waste time worrying about the future, because the future belongs to the Lord. Everything that I have is His, and He can direct me as He sees fit. As Christians, what should our perspective be when it comes to worrying about the cares of this life?
Daniel 5:21, says “The Most High God is ruler over the realm of mankind, and that He sets over it whomever He wishes. Remembering who we are in Christ helps us not to worry. Jesus paid a price for everything that we have and everything belongs to Him. Our job is to live out and defend His word in every stage of life. We are called to be good stewards of what He has given us in any situation we find ourselves in. We can trust Him more than we can trust our plans and dreams. As believers in Christ, we are called to defend the truth and bring glory and honor to Him with our thoughts and actions. God gave us the most precious gift through His son, why would He not take care of us when it comes to the things that worry us? God wants us to bring our worries and our fears before Him. As a good father delights in talking to his children, our Heavenly Father delights in His children talking to Him about all aspects of life. Take your anxiety, stress, and worries to the alter and leave them there. God has you in the palm of His hands and will help you solve all of your problems if you go directly to Him.

I love you!

God has a purpose for each of us. As we grow in him, he will birth dreams and desires in us to do certain things. These things are God-given interests to set us on our paths to fulfilling whatever it is that He has called us to do. We should not resist Him. Let God breathe his dream into you. You may not see evidence immediately but it is there. Not everything about your calling will make sense to you right away, but when God is ready, it will make sense. Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” That may seem silly to you but I can tell you there are a number of people who have “wasted” years fighting against who God made them to be. All Christians have special abilities, talents, and gifts given by God. Yes, even you! What do you enjoy the most? That is probably where your gift is. It's time to walk in the gifts God has blessed you with! It's time to stretch toward the purpose you were created for!
You can't get there without learning to trust God in all areas of your life. First you must be still before God. You can ask for his vision of your purpose or calling but quiet the noise around you and still your thoughts. Spend as much quiet time with God as you can. If God has given you a vision or idea, meditate on it. Write it down and pray over it. One of the reasons you need to do this is because God’s ways are not always our ways. We lack vision and allow our insecurities and fear to rule over us. The primary way God speaks to us is through the Bible. This means that one of the first things you should do in your search for God’s purpose is to start digging into scripture. Now, you won’t find any verses that tell you to become a dance instructor or cook, but you will begin to understand the heart of God. Determining your passions often helps you figure out what God has called you to do. It’s often said that God works in us through our gifts and passions. Where your gifts meet your passions may be God’s purpose for you. You may feel confused, but God doesn’t. God created you, and the reason you exist is to glorify Him. Everyone's main purpose is the same: to glorify God. A calling is God's invitation to you to participate in a specific way to bring him glory. Do you use your calling for His GLORY?
