Our Story......
Chris and I have always wanted to own a small town, country diner that serves breakast and lunch in a place where everyone knows your name. It is that down home feeling of small town American that keeps us holding on to that dream. So how did we get here? Well, we had a permanent trailer in a campground in Virginia, and decided to take a leap and buy the Food Truck after we sold it. Neither of us have any background in the business, but we had the faith, persistence and drive, along with a mother-in-law who was willing to work the truck with me. And the name, which has perplexed people, but also has become a great conversation starter is really from an Irish jig song, which means “I’m the Person” or “I’m the Guy” which is a bouncy little tune. And it’s a song from Newfoundland which is where my mother-in-law, Nellie is from. Ask......she will sing it for you!!! So we are soon knocking on our 3 year Anniversary and there are so many things we have learned along the way. We have had truck issues, health issues, you name it issues, but our customers have remained consistent throughout, and without them, we surely wouldn’t be where we are today. We are still dreaming about the brick and mortar, but I would say we have touched quite a bit on the hominess of seeing our customers and making new friends along the way.
