Even though flowers are done for this season that has made prepping for next season even more exciting! 100’s of flowering bushes and perennials have been planted and 1000’s of bulbs are going in! Mums, roses, ranunculus and anemones will be in tucked in the tunnel for winter. I know we shouldn’t wish time away but I’m so excited for spring to arrive and all this beauty to start blooming.

I decided to shake things up a little for a couple orders today. Bored with the traditional bouquet so made a garden bowl bouquet along with a couple others.

I got the terrible notification of a frost advisory on my phone this afternoon so I quickly texted my neighbor ladies and said bring buckets and pick all you want, I’m headed to work! They made some gorgeous bouquets!

Jada and I went a braved the wind and dust to make some bouquets. My first iris of the new batch is blooming and it looks like it was sprinkled with glitter 😍

Had a wonderful mental reset visiting our crew in Wyoming. Then a delicious lunch with mom and dad was just what I needed to come home and create. So many beautiful things still going in the field. Hopefully I can get a good picture tomorrow.

While many flowers are fading we are reaching the height of dahlia season. Beautiful bright or muted tones in all shapes! Dahlias are very labor intensive and incredibly expensive to build stock which is reflected in their price but as my granddaughter recently lamented “beauty is pain” 🤣

The last couple days were a whirlwind! Floral arrangements and buckets of flowers for a birthday party and a couple arrangements for a wedding. I didn’t get very good pictures but the flowers are still kicking out blooms 🌟 💐

I challenged myself to just grab what was in the cooler and put it in the vase. No technical arranging, just how I grabbed it in went in the vase . I actually love how it turned out.
