Y’all, we are doing a thing. When the world shut down in 2020, we created a unique branch off of Nomad Coffee Co to bring pop up drive in movies to the area to bring a little fun to our shut down world (and to also keep us in business). 3.5 years later and we have new normals, but we still have some of the basic desires and needs (community, connection, and good times are in focus here). Nomad has always been closely connected to music. Our first big event as a company was vending at Lynchstock Music Festival in 2015. Since then, we have been honored to vend national and regional music festivals such as Firefly, Bonnaroo, Blue Ridge Rock Festival, and Red Wing Roots. It’s been a desire and passion for me (Josh) to get more involved with event production, assisting the local music scene more directly, and supporting artists in any way that we can as a biz. Evolving Nomad Movies to Nomad Events will let us do just that. To celebrate, we are throwing a dance party 12/30. This is a ticketed event as there will be significant costs, and tickets are limited. More information to come with what you will expect, but included will be local DJs keeping your feet moving and smiles on faces, a light and laser production that will make you feel like Scotty’s about to beam you up, the nomad movie screen with retro games, a photo op area, Nomad Coffee cold brew, and in general, a fun and safe time. We hope to use this event as a launching pad for much more next year, and let’s just see what comes of this (i honestly have no clue)? 21 and up - more info to come regarding that. FRIDAY NIGHT: MOVIES IN THE PARK: In The Heights, thanks to @downtownlynchburg @ Riverfront Park. Showtime is ~8-8:15 pm (Dusk). Nomad will have its full menu, popcorn, kettle corn, cotton candy, various candies, soda, and bottled water. @maylynnscreamery will also have popsicles available.

Due to the current weather trends, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel tonight’s movie showing. Unfortunately, the weather does not look as though it will allow us to host an exceptional viewing experience for you tonight. We have made the decision based on the weather patterns we see for the time of the showing this evening. The weather is difficult to predict and we care about your experience at a Nomad Movies event. We hope you will understand we made this decision with your viewing experience as the top priority.
Please know, we did not make this decision lightly. So much planning and hard work has already gone into the process to prepare for tonight and we are very sad that we have to cancel.
As this is a weather cancellation, ticket holders will be refunded in full. You should receive an email shortly confirming the refund. We are truly sorry to have to cancel tonight’s event. Thank you for understanding. We always look forward to seeing your smiling faces and giving back to LYH at each of these events and we will miss seeing you tonight!
