It's official! We are CLOSED. We have been out yesterday and today assessing all of the weather (wind/water/snow/ice) damage from the past week and there is no way that we will be able to fix all of the electrical/modem components as well as repair things that were damaged in the wind or buried under the snow. It would take over a 100 man hours (if we were lucky) and then the season is over anyway. The weather over the Christmas break these last two years has been WILD! It's just unlucky!

We are so grateful for the experience that we've had and appreciate all of the love and support over the last two years. We hope that we were able to bring you some joy and fun!

Be prepared for the weekend! It is so important to heed the weather warnings and be ready just in case. Stay safe warm and dry!

We will be closed THROUGH Christmas 12/25. Here’s the current state of affairs at the light show.

All of the electrical boxes are either blown over and/or buried. These data cables power the songs to the lights.

Many of the props have blown over or are buried under snow drifts.

The pavement of the drive through itself snow banks/drifts are so high our truck got stuck a few times.

We wish more than anything that we could be open over the next couple of days. With the forecast for more snow and freezing rain it doesn’t make sense to try to dig everything out and fix connections when it’s likely all of the work we will do will be undone over the weekend. We will asses whether we can realistically open over the weekend.

Merry Christmas! We hope more than anything you enjoy this time being snowed in with the ones you love and taking the time to remember the reason for the season. ❤️🎄

Trevor is out at the fair right now assessing new wind damage and snow/ice on equipment.

We are REALLY HOPEFUL to be open 12/22-12/23! (Will be dependent on wind damage/temperature/wind conditions).

We are watching the weather forecast VERY closely through all the winter storm warnings this week. While we were out there Sunday in the 2* temps with windchill we WONT be open when the wind gusts are above 25 mph and snow has accumulated beyond what is reasonable to drive through. This is for our safety and yours! Lots of damage happens during the windstorms and the last thing we want is damage to your vehicles. 🎄❤️ as of now it is unlikely we will be open Tuesday night.

Great news! We have replaced over 5000 lights over the last few days.

Other news: the wind damaged the giant snowflakes likely beyond repair. 🤪 we will see if we can’t get them fixed!

This is a really hard post for us to write.

Our pixel (dancing lights) are beginning to fail. When we turned on the show last night about 1/3 of the lights were either out or not functioning properly. We have had some fail in the last couple of weeks but we have been working to replace them as quickly as possible. Unfortunately at this point the lights are failing quicker than we can replace them.

We have put so much blood, sweat, and tears into this show. Our family 100% funded this out of our own pockets. We have put over 1000 hours completely volunteered to put the displays together, put them up at the fairgrounds, and run the show each night. We had some amazing friends and family that helped us throughout this entire process. We did this with the goal to bring some joy and Christmas spirit in 2021 with all of the difficult things going on in the world. We are now into our second year and we have not yet recovered half of the cost. Unfortunately, with the lights failing it is discouraging to say the least and it doesn’t look like we will be able to reach our goal.

BUT! That is okay! There is nothing that we can change about what has brought us to this point. The lights are out of our control.

After a lot of thought and prayer we have decided that instead of closing for the season we will continue to operate the show as scheduled through the end of 2022. We have decided to move forward to a “donation only” entrance because we cannot predict what will and what won’t be working on any given night. So pay what you like! We appreciate any donation but also don’t feel obligated! More than anything we want you to enjoy the show and Christmas family time!

We know that a lot of people have made plans to come to the show both locally as well as traveling. It is impossible to get the word out to everyone at this point. We will continue to use all of the spare lights that we have to replace as many lights as humanly possible through the end of the show. You never know, we may be able to fix it all by the end. It’s definitely hard to do something new and cool.

Thank you for all of your love and support. Sometimes things workout. Sometimes they don’t. It is unlikely that we will be doing this in the future.

We still hope you come and visit! It still is awesome, it’s just not perfect.

UPDATE! Please Read!

We have special hours on Saturday December 3rd due to the Lighted Lynden Christmas parade in downtown Lynden. The parade runs from 6-7 ish but they use the fairgrounds for setup and takedown. We will begin lining cars up at 730pm and will begin letting people in as soon as the Fairgrounds have been cleared (most likely 7:45 pm - 8 pm ish). For Saturday December 3rd ONLY we will stay open past 9 or until whenever people stop coming. 🙌🏼🎉Regular hours will apply every other night 🎄🎅. It's a perfect night to get your fill of all things christmas lights! Plus you get to stay warm in your car. 😅

We are open and running tonight (Dec 1) through Sunday (Dec 4), then back again next Thursday the 8th!

The mega tree scaffolding is up! This is the only drive through tree that’s synchronized to music anywhere! 🎉 a huge thank you to Brand Safway for their scaffolding and their amazing volunteer guys that set this up for us (they make it look easy). Now we just need to attach the 11,000+ dancing pixel lights to the tree. 🎄

6 more days until we open! We can’t wait to see you there.

We are SO EXCITED to be back this year! These are the dates of our Drive Thru Christmas Light Show for 2022. We are opening a little bit earlier in the year to give you more opportunities to experience the show. We have added on this year and are achieving our goal of slowly growing and building upon the show one year at a time. We have new songs, scenes, and are bringing back your favorites. Thank you for showing up and making this a part of your family's holiday traditions.

$20 Cash per car or $22 if paying with card/apple/android pay

If you are following along from last year please understand that there can be changes last minute due to the weather.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT THIS YEAR!

Due to the extreme weather and wind damage we will be unable to reopen this final week as we had planned. The weather has taken everyone for a wild ride this Nov/Dec.

We are excited for Christmas 2022. We will be back and we will always be changing, learning, and growing. Trevor always has some crazy ideas and I haven't even heard 1/10 of them yet. It's going to be great.

We can't wait to see you next year. Please like/follow this page so you can see updates throughout the year and so you will be kept in the loop for next year. We will likely post more behind the scenes throughout the year as we will have an entire year to prepare for 2022 (instead of 2.5 months for this first season).

Unfortunately this weekend’s weather and the forecast for the week is forcing us to close this week. We will not reopen until Tuesday January 4th if we can reopen.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We are planning on being open tomorrow BUT
There is a huge winter storm coming and we are going to make a decision tomorrow afternoon by 1pm if we will close.

We will be open the first week of January regardless. So if this week gets wild and weird keep that in mind!

We finally found the best spot for the radio transmitter. Way above all the barns and the water tower! 🎉🎉🎉 the music clearly now reaches well beyond the fair all the way to Grant’s Burgers!

Wind causes some serious damages to our displays. This is some of what happened last night during the wind. We had even more damage ten days ago on that first Friday night. We are confident in our decision to close early last night. Trevor is out there working hard to get it all back in order. Brim tractor is bringing out a lift to help us accomplish the job quicker! Definitely check them out for all of your equipment rentals. Their customer service is AMAZING!

We are also continually experimenting with the radio transmitter to make the sound better and better. An unexpected difficulty of doing the show at the fair is all of the metal barns and water tower cause static. We love the venue however because of the ability to have space to drive up and down and make the path one way.

We will be ready for you tonight and are excited for this Christmas vacation week!

We will be open tomorrow Monday December 20th through December 23rd 5-10pm.

Open tonight Monday the 20th! See you soon!

ENTRANCE AND EXIT: Please enter into the lighted parking lot that is between Ralph's Floors and the lit up carousel (gate 3). It is the first gate to the west of the main gate at the fair grounds. Kids are out there with wands directing traffic to go into the correct lane. This parking lot is also lit up by the road with white green and red lights. Please DO NOT enter on Gate 5 near Kok Rd. That is a one way exit out of the light show. If you choose to combine cars please do it in another parking lot off of the fair property (Safeway, etc). It causes too much confusion. Please stay in your car the entire time! We are so excited you are enjoying the show so far! Christmas Cheer for all to hear!
