THE LYNDEN SATURDAY MORNING POST: Beds & Beef Edition
While there is something to said about the surprisingly restful experience of kicking back on a warm Holstein in a bed of fresh straw and sawdust, the long, long wait is over, and our most recent frequently asked question finally has an answer:
The Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Lynden is now open for those who have overnight accommodation needs, complete with fitness facility, complimentary breakfast, AND..... wait for it.... something so many of you have wanted.... A POOL!
Check out their website, and book now if you're looking for a place to stay before and after THE OFFICIAL 2024 NORTHWEST LIGHTED CHRISTMAS PARADE on December 7th, before they book out!

AND, this just keeps getting better, if you're looking for a spot for some wining and dining, the Wissota Chophouse - Lynden is now open as well, Tuesday - Saturday, 4 to 10 p.m.
We lean a bit "rib and reef' ourselves, so we'll probably start our evening with the Fig & Fried Honey Goat Cheese appetizer, then move on to the 14 ounce Ribeye with a 5 ounce Lobster Tail, with a Caprese Salad accompaniment, with a glass or two of Root Beer.
Yes, they also have the ales, the pales, the wines and the cocktails, should one prefer something aged upon the pallet.

Dessert is where we struggle on the decision tree:
Northwest Raspberry Tiramisu? Yes, please.
Towering Carrot Cake? Well, yes, that, too, depending on if the raspberry in the Raspberry Tiramisu is the sweet raspberry or the not so sweet raspberry.
Towering Chocolate Cake? Really, messing with mind here a wee bit, aren't we?
Chocolate Cake is one of the required food groups in the Official Lynden Food Pyramid we've just made up, and towering? That's just whistling at us from across the room to get our attention, and it has it, fork in hand.
Glass of milk, too, we hope. An ice cold glass of whole milk is the capper of a fine cake, and while we'll do 2% if we must, any lower milk fat then that and please just keep your milk flavored water away. Thank you for your consideration of the matter

Darn good thing we can roll ourselves over to the elevator if need be, and up into a super affordable and super comfortable king bed room.
Yes, for you folks not from this neck of the Northwest woods, we Lynden-ites do occasionally stay in our own community, especially if we're camping on the Lynden / Bellingham KOA, the 5-star family camping experience right in Lynden, for you taking the RV option, or as in the case of the Cobblestone, to bring the youngsters to a place with a pool to burn off some of that winter indoor energy.

Anyway, be sure to check out both the restaurant and the hotel, just south of Lynden L**e And Auto along the Guide Meridian. From our look-see, it's top notch, just like the people of Lynden and this wonderful community some of us our fortunate enough to call home, and now with even more space for our friends and guests to put their heads on a bed!

Rainy week ahead, storm maybe Wednesday, what say you, Weatherman Randy? And no matter where you stay or where you are, YOU are loved!

IT'S A L-TOWN FRIDAY! Pizza, Steak or Leftover Halloween candy?
We hope most of you kind folks have had the wonderful opportunity to dine at Infusion Cuisine for dinner, perhaps with a pre- or post meal tipple at District Brewing, as the Infusion Team really does have one of the best dining experience perhaps in all of Western Washington, and if you haven't had the culinary pleasure, well, we aren't going to force you, but we will have to start calling you names and questioning your wardrobe choices.
- Time for the political sign harvest season, so please take down what one put up, and recycle at Lynden Chamber of Commerce member Nooksack Valley Disposal & Recycling, OR put it behind the workbench in the garage, to languish there until something soft for the knees is needed.

-> Speaking of cycles, of different type, of course, Lenny's Bike Shop will be holding their annual Christmas Holiday Bike Giveaway, where for a very great price, local merchants around town purchase a bike from Lenny's, you nominate someone for that bike, and if the local nominee is chosen, they're gonna a peddle pusher before Santa get here!
We'll let you know when the complete list of participating businesses and entry information is available.

-> Oh, and if you win the one the Chamber is sponsoring, perhaps a partial bag of leftover Halloween candy, though full disclosure, anything good has disappeared from the bag. Good-bye Snickers bar; Hello 14 sizes of Tootsie rolls!
Brought to you unknowingly by Veltkamp Family Dentistry, provider of proper dental care for all Lynden-ites!

* Friday Night at Coconut Kenny's: The Mac Attack covered with mac & cheese, the Taco, or the Kanaka, covered with Kalua pork and green onions cooked with a sweet & tangy BBQ sauce.
And as always, when in-person dining we highly recommend the delicious STUBBORN SODA Pineapple Cream Soda, and so we can tag and continue to prod the Stubborn folks to create a Northwest Raspberry Cream Soda for the Northwest Raspberry Festival.

* Weather folks calling for rain this weekend, but regardless of what may fall our way, put some sunshine in your heart by reminding someone, even yourself if need be (which may be a need) that YOU are loved!

SUNNY THURSDAY TO YOU!
Sunny Thursday to you!
It looks like it's warmish,
but it's really chilly, so hit Muddy Waters Espresso drive-thru!
It's early, the cranium is still warming up, so thanks for your patience and understanding with our lyrical prowess. Moving on...
* Congratulations to Northwest Lighted Christmas Parade supporting sponsor Lynden Noon Kiwanis, on a successful STEAM, or Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math event last weekend at the Fairgrounds, but to all those youngsters involved as well! Another group of folks in Lynden putting the word "service" in service clubs into action!

* The The Claire community theater is hosting a Family Karaoke Fundraiser this month (We suggest any selection of Partridge Family tunes), and be on the lookout for tickets to Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn presentation, not to be confused the Holiday Inn Express Bellingham, one of our fabulous Lynden Chamber of Commerce members and an excellent place for out-of-town visitors to get a restful enjoyable nights rest.

* Lynden Skateway has their Glow Skate night this Friday, from 7 - 10 p.m.. Youngster will love indoor (re: warm) activity, as will parents and other, though Uncle Longhair may be tempted to break out the platform shoes and flammable britches to get his Bee Gees funk on, so be prepared.
That's meant as warning for family members AND his polyester pants, FYI.

* If you that Great Clips in Lynden Town Center trim now, you'll still look good for Thanksgiving AND can be ready for a touch-up shortly before Christmas, showing extended family and friends that you're looking better every time they see you!
Plus, since you're in the area anyway you can grab some Blizzards from Dairy Queen afterwards and put a pre-holiday smile on the family faces

* Cheeks has the looking-good, aren't you something clothing selection to also help you succeed in a very stylish look for his coming season, without breaking the bank AND giving you actual quality for your money, always a fiscally responsible choice while keeping your pesos in your pocket

* That's all for us, have a wonderful day, enjoy the crisp fall air, and remember, like the neighbor kid who rakes your leaves, YOU are loved!

STAYED UP TOO LATE WEDNESDAY READER: Need A Nap Edition
Yes, we may have stayed up a touch late last evening, watching the newest faux-reality series called "Slow Count: The Election", which received decent ratings, but the acting was "not good" and dialogue horrible. How many time can one hear "Lets go back to Headquarters" which indeed meant staring at the back of a bunch of peoples heads while the person playing the role of reporter says such memorable lines as "According to our sources within the campaign, they are telling us...", "We're being told the candidate and their camp are cautiously optimistic" and the old standby "Eventually this is up to the voters to decide".
Whoa! Wow! What incredible insight there...

We do want to take a moment to thank all the candidates who ran for public office in this past election, especially at the state and local level, as these offices do not have the high salaries or "full time" status that those at the Federal level do. These are folks who give of their time and talent to become a reflection of us on a broad range of issues involving a myriad of often passionate opinions which are diametrically opposed to one another, never a easy task, occasionally impossible, but nonetheless necessary.
So please consider this as a small way of thanking all who were willing to literally put their name out there to serve "We the People", and congratulating those who have won the privilege to do so.
And yes, while the chances you will be occasionally mocked and teased upon these pages are as likely as Donald Trump winning re-election, we may have one or two items for your consideration anyway.
Ok, 6 actually, and probably a few more, but if you could start by naming Banket, also known as almond stick, as the Official Christmas Treat it would be greatly appreciated and any purchase thereof will be fully tax deductible.
Well, we needed to ask...
Just know that win or not win, if we agree or disagree, we pray His hand will be upon you to protect and guide you, and remind you in those times of thoughtful rumination and struggle that YOU are loved!

God bless you, and God bless America!

GOOD TUESDAY TO YOU!
Let's just jump right in, shall we?
As you may have heard, the small town of Dixville Notch, New Hampshire had all six of their registered voters once again be the first in the nation to vote for President of these United States.
The vote ended in a tie between the two major candidates.

We also heard/ totally made up a story that nobody could sleep after that flurry of voting activity and waiting in line, so they all went over to someone's house to have pie and decaf coffee after the polls closed, talked about the weather and if canned peaches or fresh peaches were better for a pie, had a show of hands so they could have a "voter exit poll", which resulted in some good laughs, and then went to bed.
They had cinnamon rolls and hot cocoa together this morning while they waited for the official Dixville Notch Election Results, which will still need to be certified, though the official counter-person's websites, well, really a white board on the fridge, said the following:
"6 REGISTERED VOTERS"
"6 BALLOTS SENT"
"6 BALLOTS RETURNED"
"4 BALLOTS COUNTED"
"2 BALLOTS REMAINING TO BE COUNTED"
" Butter"
"Eggs"
"Bread, Whole Wheat, not White"
"Kid's from Mon's"

SO TO REVIEW, the tie vote was 100% real (President Biden apparently won 5-1 last year, for those that care about such things) but just to repeat, the entire rest of the story was made up to show that even a bunch of Dix's can respect one another's opinions and be cordial and respectful, so so can you, because just like who you vote for, it's your choice as to who (whom?) you want to be, and how you want to treat people. Choose wisely.

That's it. Really. Just wanted to make something a bit light to ease any tension that may be out there in Facepageland, so get your ballot in, don't get all nasty about our double entendre, and no matter how you vote, YOU are loved!

A FEW MONDAY ITEMS FOR YOUR PERUSAL: Up Early Edition
-> The Rainy Windy weather forecast for today is "yucky bucky" with periods of "look at that!" and occasional "This is a windbreaker, not a raincoat" moments throughout the day.
Should be sunny tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday, with temps in the 50's, so a decent week weather-wise for early November.
-> THE OFFICIAL 2024 NORTHWEST LIGHTED CHRISTMAS PARADE is on tap for December 7, but not without your entry! It's a wee bit of work to put a unit together, but a whole lot of fun to do so, very much a "team building" exercise, and you get to bring smiles to youngsters at the same time! Entry's due by November 29th!
BIG Thank-you to presenting sponsor North Pacific Concrete Pumping Inc. for helping to bring this annual Kick-Off to Christmas to the Great Northwest!

-> Don't forget to check the work clocks as we're back to Standard Time once again, which means for at least a few days we'll be early to work, or at least out of bed early. How about early to rise?
Ok, we peeked at the alarm clock, said a soft "yes!", and rolled over for another 20 minutes, totally guilt free.
Falling back is so much better then springing forward.

-> GET YOUR BALLOT IN THAT LIBRARY DROPBOX! Lynden has had a reputation for a high return rate, so let's keep it going, although we think the free "I Voted" stickers may have given us a little boost in the past, because , well, "free" anything draws Lynden-ites like a moth to light.

->FYI: For those within the City of Lynden, fees for water, sewer, stormwater, the ambulance utility and the tax on those fees will be increasing come January 1st, about 7% on the fees and 2% on the tax.
We're just the self-appointed messenger who figured you may want to know as you plan for the 2025 family budget, so any non-positive feedback is best saved for elsewhere.

-> ANOTHER FYI: First off, a hearty "Thank You!" to the Whatcom County Elections Team at the Auditors Office for their good work on a not-so easy task.
And "So you know", reported Whatcom County election results should be around 8-ish in the p.m. tomorrow, though the machine will be whirring and clickin' away early to get as many arrived ballots through the tally process as possible.
Then as we Washingtonians know all too well, and through no fault of the Election Department folks, the slow drip-drip-drip of election results begins, and the need for patience begins.

Have a great week ahead, double check those clocks, ballots to the drop box, and...

MOUNTAINS OF LOVE SUNDAY MESSAGE: She's a Long One
FOR YOU FOLKS NEW TO THE AREA, every few winters or so, up in this neck of the woods we have what generally gets reported out of the Seattle news stations as a "significant weather event" of some sort, be it howling winds with snow blowing, creating snow drifts cheek deep and disastrous driving conditions, slick and heavy freezing rain that looks beautiful but results in extended power outages, and of course those "Hundred Year Floods" that seem to happen every 10 years or less.
Now rarely do the news crews actually drive all the way up here, preferring to use some common sense to stay our of the worst of it, and park their buns at the mall parking lot, and show one of 3 shots:
Live reporter reporting with flags blowing in the background while the snow flys, with a sliding car or tow, but nothing like the weather up here.
Live reporter reporting with flags blowing in the background with a glistening ice ensconced flag pole and a wipe of said reporters shoe on parking lot surface, in case viewers don't know that ice is slick.
In-studio anchor reporting with footage of soaking wet flags blowing in the wind, puddles on the ground, and video sent their way by somebody up here showing a car floating in the water by Hannegan hill just south of town, or a still photo from Weather Randy, taken on one of his live excursions into the weather abyss.

Know what you generally don't see? Not intentionally avoided, but just because news cameras can only capture so much from a parking lot 10 miles south of here?

What we tend not to see if those folks that can do so helping other folks out in their moment of need, and let us tell you, one would be hard pressed to find folks that do it better then the people of north Whatcom County.
It is an amazing experience to witness and be a part of, be it on the giving end, or the receiving. It not only warms one's heart, but restores one's faith in people, the people of these great United States of America.

And you know what you'll never see while these wonderful waves of love are repeated over and over and over, until yes, it truly is overwhelming?
No body, at no time, in any way, stops before giving OR receiving a helping hand and asks "Who did you vote for?"
In those moments, as it is in most moments, is when all we often have is one another, there is absolutely zero shi..., excuse us, cares given about what we disagree on, but instead are laser focused on what we can do to help one another.

We ourselves have been blessed to witness mountains and mountains of clothing, pillows, toiletries and furniture being collected in just a few hours, no requests made, no special pleas on the airways or social pages, just an instinctual desire to help folks in need, in whatever way possible, in any way possible. Be it driveways shoved by strangers, a group of folks unknown to one another giving the ol' "heave -ho-heave" getting the stuck minivan moving in the parking lot, loaning a generator to keep the food in the fridge safe, or shelter and meals for those whose homes are no more.

First and foremost, we are all children of God, and while some may take that more to heart then others, up here, for many, it means everything, and while from time to time we may forget, the rule still stands:
"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, As I have loved you" Yes, we like the old school version of John 15:12. Nothing like a "Ye" to add a bit of punch to a statement.

Anyway, come Tuesday night, or Thursday, or 2 weeks from now, whenever those that do such things get done tallying the totals, remember that there are no exceptions listed in showing love, no caveats, no "but's". Just love, period.

So we may be passionate about our politics, firm in our beliefs on what is the right course, and what is the wrong path, vehemently disagreeing on a course of action to be taken, or an issue that would best to leave alone, but above all, first and foremost, nothing is going to heck in a hand basket if we all pause, think about who we would be willing to help if they needed it, and perhaps more importantly, who we would take help from BEFORE we act in a way that would suggest the opposite of love.

So come Tuesday night, or whenever, should you feel like a victor or are on the "maybe next time" side, be kind, be respectful, and be loving, just like you are loved.
The Author of the Big Book told us so.

Oh, and before you're tempted to share your own political opinions on this page, $100 donation to Project Hope, located right here in Lynden, helping those who need help, period.
THEN you may share. Priorities, you know. And yes, here is the link: https://www.projecthopelynden.org/donate/

God bless, be a blessing to others, and may you have a week filled with love!

THE LYNDEN SATURDAY MORNING POST: Endorse This! Edition
FALLING BACK TIME-WISE: Yes, it's that time of the year when we move our clocks back an hour, as we've wrung all the savings of daylight we could out of this year, so time to get back to standard operating procedure.
The real questions is does anyone have a real clock with hands to move back anymore? Well, if you don't, you sure can!
This timely message unknowingly brought to you by Chad's Jewelry, purveyor of elegant custom made and designed jewelry and fine timepieces, located on Front Street in beautiful downtown Lynden, for all your time keeping needs!

-> We strongly endorse Avenue Bread's The Guilty Pleasure breakfast, a croissant- French Toast served with orange honey butter and real maple syrup for a wonderful weekend-only breakfast treat at the Ave!

-> If you're downtown to dine anyway, meander over to Summit Thrift Store for their selection of amazingly affordable selection of rain boots, or as some of the locals call them, barn boots, always handy foot wear for Election Day as the "stuff" gets fairly deep

-> Get your elections ballots in the drop box north of Lynden Library, located next to the book deposit. Ballots are picked up daily, and any dropped before Monday "should" be counted on actual Election Day.

-> Now that we've moved on from All Hallow's Eve, Surroundings Home, Gifts and Garden is ready to bring on the holiday spirit with some Christmas home decor ready to decorate and make your house feel like Santa's home. Located next to Woods Coffee at the Fairway Center Lynden

+ If you're at Fairway Center anyway, Mom said Just Desserts by Lynden Dutch Bakery called, and your doughnuts (donuts?) are ready to bring home... and share... with others.

-> Before we finish today, please allow us a moment to express of sincere condolences to "Mr. Terps" family and friends, on the passing of a fellow Lynden-ite many will remember for not just his business acumen, but as one of the best substitute teachers to grace the classrooms of many of our area schools.
Harold, well done, and you are loved!

Enjoy your weekend, change those clocks back, stay dry if you're able, and yes, just like Terp, YOU are loved!

WHOA... DUDE, SERIOUSLY, IT'S LIKE A FRIDAY, MAN.
So like, if you were around Lynden yesterday afternoon, like over by the Fairway Center Lynden, which is a trippy name, man, cause they like, they are over that way by the Fair, so like, how did they know THAT was gonna happen, and around downtown Lynden, there was all these little people, like, all dressed up like dinosaurs, and princesses, and police, and firepeople, and ninja's, like, we didn't even know being a Ninja was a job, but hey, the got a costume, so that's pretty cool.
In fact, man, there were like over 1,500 little dudes and dude-dettes, getting candy, and prizes, and saying "hi", and "Trick or Treat", and "Thank you". Very chill, very chill.

Anyway, it was totally chill, and people were smiling and having fun, and the Po-Po even had a gorilla, but like, not a real one, we think. There were even parents and grandparents who got all costumed up, which was cool, you know, though some of the adults seem just a little bit, like, TOO into it, you know, like, "Hey, do you even have kids here, dude? Well, the did, cause the kids were doing the like "Seriously Dad! What if my friends see?" thing, you know.

But like, seriously dude, like a REALLY BIG, like big as the hair on the kid dressed up like the 80's chick, THANK YOU to all the business candy hander outers, and like the people coming down to get candy, and the totally cool drivers who were chill driving downtown, cause that was cool, too, and especially presenting sponsors Katty Baldwin with John L Scott Real Estate & Alycia Hoglin of Guild Mortgage, and supporting sponsors WECU, HFIT, & Bank of the Pacific for really giving the goods to help youngsters have some Halloween fun! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Hey, and you know what? We might have met Rustle, like THE "Rustle" from like Rustler's. He's, uhm, different than we thought, but totally rad guy, nice dude. Just.... different. But you know what he shouted when we walked by? Other than the "Put some pants on!" everybody else was yelling?
"Hey, YOU are loved!"
Cool, man. Totally cool.

10/31/2024

TIME FOR THE 2024 GREAT LYNDEN TRICK OR "DUTCH" TREAT!!
For 3 hours this fine (please no rain, no rain, no rain) fall afternoon, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., over 70 Lynden businesses with orange cones in front of their establishments will band together as one to become Sugar Central. Weather wise it's forecast that the raindrops SHOULD hold off until after 5, though keep in mind it is October 31st in the Great Northwest, so who knows?
Will we see Mr. B the Bespectacled in his Bee suit again? Will Miss Elsie make her first ever smiling appearance? Will Tack the Terminator be on the scene? We do know no one never knows what will happen on an L-town Halloween.

Now like any candy-seeking trick or treaters, a great plan is a great start, and we suggest stopping by Lynden Sheet Metal, Inc. on Evergreen Street, then Van Loo's Auto Service on 2nd Street, the Oasis Spa Northwest on 3rd Street, just north of the Dutch Treat Restaurant. Please make sure not to lose Mom at the spa, and since you're in the neighborhood already, cut over to WA FED bank and the Lynden Library.

Then it's on to Fairway Center Lynden, and Lynden Ace Hardware, B U Salon, Connections Christian Store, Dave's Sport Shop, Fairway Drug, Just Desserts by Lynden Dutch Bakery, Little Caesars Pizza, NCCTK KidsPlace, Peoples Bank (WA) Fairway Branch, Reco Brands, Home, Gifts & Surroundings Home, Gifts and Garden, TimeKeepers, and be looking for USTA Martial Arts under a pop-up Canopy in front of Ace (Ace it the place of the handy Halloween people!)

The on to downtown Lynden, and remember: The streets are NOT closed for this gathering. SAFETY FIRST! Well, we know with the youngsters it will be candy first, but you know there's a reason ya'll are called "parents/ guardians", right? Your role is implied in the title. O.k, good!
So while looking for the orange cones out front, which you'll never see through the sea of people, and in no particular order other than alphabetical, here we go!

10/30/2024

WHAT: THE 2024 GREAT LYNDEN TRICK OR "DUTCH" TREAT!
WHEN: Thursday October 31st, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
WHERE: All around Lynden, including Fairway Center Lynden and downtown Lynden
FOR WHOM: Ages 12 & Under, with parents/ guardians to help young candy-eaters pay attention

WHERE TO PARK DOWNTOWN: Once again, we turn you to the on-street parking north of Grover Street, although there will be EXTREMELY limited parking in the downtown area.

USE CROSSWALKS CAUTIOUSLY: NO, the street is NOT closed, and for good reason: In order to have an event starting at 2, streets would generally need to be closed absolutely no later then 12:30 p.m., probably earlier BECAUSE not only does one need to keep automobiles coming into the area, one must get those already parked downtown OUT, which would be during prime customer time downtown.

WHAT ARE THE MAGIC WORDS? For those adults, this is an excellent time to teach youngsters to say "Thank you!" for something they have been given, though some will still be shy as we've seen even the most chatty clam up tighter then a Dutchman's wallet, and that's o.k. you'll have over 60 opportunities for them to learn.
Oh, and a "Trick or Treat!" is good to say, too. It's sorta the "please" to the "thank you!"

PLEASE REMEMBER the Lynden Chamber of Commerce only publicizes those businesses who are handing out candy during this time period, we do NOT produce this event, thus it is up to each individual merchant as to if they wish to participate or not. For many, it works out, for some, it does not.
So give those candy providers all around town a BIG "Thank you" for taking the time out of their business day to participate.

CANDY CORN & 100 GRAND: We're strong Snickers supporters, big, big fans. Butterfingers? Oh, baby! Mm, Mm, Mm.
Same with Reese's, great, great stuff.
But Candy Corn is the ultimate seasonal treat, and as far as the tiny candy goes, those 100 Grands are just top notch.
Tasty sweet chocolate with a Rice Krispie-like texture, and rice is nutritious, right? So technically, isn't it like a breakfast dessert... maybe.

Anyway, the list of where will be here tomorrow, and until then, well, even after then, YOU are loved!

ROLLING DOWN THE HIGHWAY: Delivering Christmas & Other News
* More chance of sun then rain on Thursday for THE 2024 GREAT LYNDEN TRICK OR "DUTCH" TREAT!, operating from 2 to 5 p.m., though our belly dancer costume will probably not make an appearance again this year, after one youngster mistook it for a jelly jar costume a few years back.
Ain't gonna lie, that one stung a wee bit
* Please let us know if your church or other community group are holding candy-handing-outing events. We would be happy to share the news so the Lynden youngsters can create some memories!

*Also, we're stuck at home today after the minorist of minor surgery, so minor the post-op band-aid was optional, but if you have any questions about whatever, ask below and we'll do our best to answer.

* Top O' the Chamber Cap to Lynden, Inc. for once again delivering the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree from the Great State of Alaska to that "other" Washington, District of Columbia. As they have vfor over 100 years beginning here in L-town, Lynden provides the highest quality, top notch care and customer service for all types of commodities, all around the globe, with all types of equipment. Not sure if the tree is rolling through town though. Can't keep D.C. waiting, you know!
Plus, what a snazzy looking truck!

* Looks like work on the Freeze Dried animal food plant out at the corner of Berthusen and Main will be slowing down, down, down. Apparently there is what we would categorize as a challenge between contractor and contractee, so until certain transactions take place, the project will be on a slow crawl or pause.
Proving once again, one should not count their dog chow before it's flash frozen
