"Dearly Beloved" written by Jones, Hope and Wooten (they wrote for The Golden Girls) opens next weekend. Thought you might enjoy a selected quote from each character. "OK people, listen up!" "That's me, hot, gorgeous and completely unpredictable." "I see trouble in that girl's future, but I see a 6 pack in mine." "And you brought turnips to my daughter's wedding dinner!" "A lonely job for a lonely man." "Possum under the porch!" "Ooo wee - deviled eggs!" "I shudder to think what you people do to the Easter ham." "Rice will make the pigeons blow up." "I'm NOT cheatin' on my wife!" "Isn't he adorable?" "I'm just thinkin' how I'll never get the smell of hog grease out of this dress." To know who all says these things and so many more funny lines get your reservations for the show at the Grist Mill Theater in Macedonia. BEHIND THE SCENES are folks that make a show really work! The reason the curtain opens/closes, the chairs are in the right place, the food on the table is correct is all due to the stage crew of Finley Meek, Christi Hartsock, and Noah Myers. The reason that the phone "rings" or the light is only on one side of the stage is thanks to Heather Dyson. The curtain works better than ever because Scott, Eric, and Sue Duhachek worked on it for a couple of hours. Then there's the volunteer who's behind and in front of the stage - our Universal Understudy Delaney Mathews. Delaney is always willing to "put on a different hat" to assist with rehearsal. She's filled in for several folks who had to be absent and she knows lots of the lines! We wouldn't have a show without these volunteers!
There's still lots of seats available!
