Change is coming! We are so proud to announce that Events by Jess received a $10,000 Backing Small Businesses Grant presented by American Express, in partnership with Main Street America. We are so excited to be among the recipients of this program! We plan to use this grant to paint the exterior of our historic building at 9735 Main St. Machias.

A big thanks to everyone, including the audience, who helped to make Murder at the Midnight Hour a great success! We had a great time. Each night a prize including gift certificates to Events by Jess & Last Drop Coffee Shop was awarded to one clever audience member who guessed "who done it." If you missed it, stay tuned because we may be adding a couple of repeat performances next month.

For those of you attending the Murder Mystery Dinner Theater, two things to note- We have central air, so you should be very comfortable, and we do not have an abundance of parking space, so car pooling is a great idea. Can't wait to see you all there! Saturday is a full house, but we still have a few tickets for Friday.

A big thank you to the thirty gals who joined us for Ladies' Night Out last evening. We had so much fun: Loti Henna Studio & Boutique,a flower bar with Jess, good food and conversation. We will do it again sometime this summer. Next up we have two teas planned for the first weekend in May.

Celebrate with the women in your life. We are hosting two different teas on the weekend before Mother's Day.
Saturday, May 4th at 11 AM: Mommy & Me Tea. There will be treats, beverages, and a craft for kids in case they get squirmy. Call ahead for reservations- $20 for adults and kids 13 & over, $10 for kids 5-12, free for kids 4 & under.
Sunday, May 5th at 2:00: High Tea. Call ahead for reservations- $25 per person. Savory and sweet treats with plenty of tea and conversation.
