It’s no secret that we are theatre fans so we were very excited to be part of the Masterworx Theater Inc. 10-year gala celebration!

Past cast members, crew, staff and friends gathered to reminisce, swap stories, watch performances and of course, eat delicious food!

We are loving all the different types of jobs we have had this year!

We recently had the pleasure of providing breakfast for the Vespa Club of Lynchburg as they hosted a fundraiser for the United Way of Central Virginia.

Hosted at Three Roads Brewing - BURG it was a morning full of scooters, friends and food!

What an amazing weekend! Four events in two days left us all thankful for so many fun experiences but totally exhausted.

Two of our events were at the Overland Expo East 2024, a gathering of thousands with all things outdoor and adventure!

We were incredibly honored to provide the food for the fireside chat for Toyota and the after party at the Honda tent.

Both events were packed full of fun, music, food and lots of dogs! Enjoy some pictures of the food, the people, the stunning sunsets and of course, the dogs!

Last week we had a HUGE undertaking. Feed 500 hungry people as they gathered for South Poll Grass Cattle Association National Field Day.

It took weeks of planning, days and days of preparation, hours upon hours of cooking and in a blink of an eye everyone was through the serving lines and full of delicious food.

The folks there were all so nice and we heard nothing but kind and gracious words from them.

We had one of the largest crew of staff we have had in a long time, 21 of us in total. It’s hard to pinpoint what the best part of the day was, the blue grass band, seeing all the cows, our staff having a blast on the tree swing or chatting with the friendly people who had traveled from all over the United States to be there but we can safely say that a great time was had by all!

Thank you to Windy Acres Farm for trusting us with their event. This was one for the books!

We are so excited to share our big news with you...we have moved!

We searched and searched for somewhere to be the new home of Friends and we are beyond excited to be in Lynchburg, right on Timberlake Road!

For almost seven years Friends has been in Madison Heights but now with this new location we are accessible to ALL of the Central Virginia area.

What does this mean for our clients? Only good things! We can get to venues faster, clients can drop off payments and you can even stop in to say hi!

We are hoping to do a ribbon cutting when our new sign arrives, have a charcuterie giveaway and maybe even some tours of the place! Keep your eyes open for all of that fun stuff!

It's been a year of big changes but we are happy to finally be settled right where we belong.

After catering the rehearsal dinner last night and a full breakfast spread this morning for the bridal party we caught this moment of calm before a full day of wedding festivities!

Later today, it’ll be a grazing table for 100 people and dinner to follow. We can’t wait to share pictures with you!

It’s graduation party season! Let us do the cooking and you enjoy the day with your graduate!

Here is a party we were the caterer for recently. The family wanted an adult and kid friendly buffet and had a spread that was beautiful and delicious!

The fruit salad, pulled pork sliders, salad macaroni and cheese and chicken tenders were all a huge hit!

Fun fact! While most of our jobs are for full service catering (setup, serving, tear down) we also do quite a few drop off jobs.

Here are two recent drop offs we had the pleasure of doing. One was a brunch for 80 people the morning after a wedding and the other was lunch for 20 during a business meeting.

It was hard to choose our favorite thing from these two events so we will have to call it a tie between the homemade Earl Grey scones and the spinach strawberry salad!

“Toppings for days” is usually the theme for our taco bars, and this one was no exception!

No one left this rehearsal dinner hungry and we had lots of return visitors for seconds and even thirds!

It’s been an extremely busy last few months for us! So busy that we have not even really had time to be on social media.

We want to get you all caught up on our exciting events and adventures so you’ll be seeing us show up on your feed more and more the next few weeks leading up to some exciting news!

This past weekend brought FIVE different events. One of them was the wedding reception of Kevin and Adeline.

A beautifully decorated Aviary, bagpipe music and a meal of delicate beef tenderloin, melt-in-your-mouth blackened salmon and crispy, sweet pineapple casserole all made for a perfect summer wedding!

Congratulations to Kevin and Adeline and thank you for letting us be part of your special day!

We recently had the honor of catering a super fun birthday party at a private residence! We had the serving tables packed full for this birthday bash! The birthday boy and his wife requested a huge variety of delicious appetizers, there was definitely something for everyone. Our staff was busy making dreams come true, so we didn’t get many pictures.

It’s officially wedding season and last weekend we catered the wedding of Savannah and Aaron.

Beautiful weather, a beautiful venue and a beautiful couple were the perfect way to start off our busy season.

There were lots of smiles around the appetizer table when the guests tasted the spinach artichoke dip, fruit and cheeses. For dinner everyone was excited to try the taco bar with tons of toppings and a variety of salsas!

Last month, we had the honor of catering for Compassion Church of the Nazarene’s “Date Night”. They had beef tips and gravy, chicken Florentine, mashed potatoes, buttered baby carrots, and finished out dinner with cheesecake. What a fun event! Thanks for having us!

Ingredients: bread soaked in milk, lemons, fruit chutney, onions, bay leaves, turmeric, curry powder. Not pictured: beef, lamb, cumin, garlic, apricot jam, eggs.

Hint: it’s a country’s national dish.

Less than a week after becoming the new owners of Friends Catering we were already hard at work at our first official event!

We were truly honored to provide the food for the Altavista High School Athletic Hall of Fame annual banquet.

Held at the beautiful Riverview Manor this crowd of close to 200 gathered to celebrate the newest inductees, listen to some great speakers, reconnect with friends from the past and of course eat delicious food!

Lasagna, chicken Alfredo and homemade garlic bread were for dinner and guests could choose our banana pudding or caramel pies for dessert.

We can’t wait for this great event again in a year!
