Thank you to everyone who made the past three years in Madison so absolutely wonderful, and the clients who invited me to capture memories on their most special days.✨
I hope to be back in Madison again someday, but for now my little family and I are re-locating to Lusaka, Zambia. I will likely not post as much over the next 3 years or so unless I book some clients here! I’m not disappearing though! Listen, I know that the holiday season is months away but hear me out!

Fall photoshoots are magical, the crunchy leaves, the crisp air, THE SUNSETS!!! *Swoon*

FALL FALL FALL! It's the time when leaves turn fiery and leaves crunch under our feet. When the air turns cool and we start to put away our tank tops and bring out our light sweaters.

Not only is it the change of the season, but it's one of my favorite times for photos! The deep orange of the sunsets make for beautiful backdrops, landing itself to pictures that almost look like oil paintings.

Do you have a significant other? Do you have any nice pictures together? (Don't worry, I'm guilty of it too... and I'm a gosh dang photographer!)

Booking a couples shoot can not only be super fun, but having professional pictures of you together can be super helpful!

We're halfway through summer! How did that happen? No... seriously... HOW?!

I am the most excited to be in the thick of wedding season, beautiful couples, and love! In honor of wedding season I'd like to tell you how I chose weddings and couples to be my specialty.

When I was first starting out, weddings were going on all around me and people knowing that I was starting out invited me to take a swing at it. I was so excited to try out my new camera so I shadowed a few weddings, (With some seriously cool and talented wedding photographers!) and was eventually asked to shoot a last minute wedding DAY OF, because their photographer had a family emergency and knew that I was looking for things to shoot. I said yes, and after that wedding I was hooked.

I loved the whole process of it, the adrenaline of capturing these important moments. The hundreds of pictures to sift through after, it was like magic! This picture is from that wedding, It is still one of my favorites!

Fun fact, my husband and I met at the wedding this picture was taken from right here in Madison! Without this wonderful couple, I would have never found my most favorite person.

Spring is here! The sun is shining, the rain is washing away the winter and everything smells fresh and new. (Isn't that just the best?!)

You know what could also be new? A ring on your left hand! (Or a new fiancé, however that happened!) That's right, it's the start of wedding season!

You may be thinking, "Ehh, it's not a big deal. People will take pictures, and I can save money that way."

Let me let you in on a secret... Every person I've ever known who has gone through with not hiring a photographer has regretted it at least a little bit! Not even joking! Photos are how we relive moments, and photographers are specialists in looking for and capturing those important moments for you to look back on and treasure for a lifetime. (And possibly even longer! You've probably seen your grandparent's wedding pictures right?")

Whether it's a backyard wedding, a courthouse wedding, or a wedding at a country club, the memories from that day are equally important!

It has FINALLY stopped snowing, lets collectively breathe a sigh of relief! Soon we'll see buds on trees and tulips popping up from the earth. The pretty flowers are a beautiful backdrop for photos, and I love a photo opportunity!
