Hello friends!

It's hard to imagine how much the children of some of my earliest clients have changed and grown over the years (I opened Isabelle's Princess Parties in 2012)

This year was my first year with both of my kids fully in school. It has changed the dynamic of our weeks/weekends and I'm thankful for having taken this year to have a pause on taking princess party bookings.

That pause continues. I haven't decided what my future plans hold.

I hope you all have had a wonderful summer and a smooth transition into the school year.

I wanted to connect with some of you, many long-time supporters and wish you well this fall.

I've been a little quiet on here.

In 2012 I opened Isabelle's Princess Parties. I started with one high-end custom costume and a desire to offer only the highest possible quality.

I quickly expanded, adding more costumes as I booked more parties, and eventually hiring some really lovely performers to work with me. After about 6 months of business, I quit my full-time job to focus on my business. It was such a rewarding decision.

It has always been a joy to offer a service that brings happiness to people. From the excited children to the grandparents smiling because they are enjoying watching the children, I have so many really special memories of parties and events.

99.9% of my customers have been wonderful to work with. In truth the primary challenge I've faced with my business has always been having enough performers to meet our demand.

Once I started having kids I stopped performing at parties myself. Now that my kids are school-aged, I've struggled with the stress that comes from taking my business so personally. My kids now have very full weekends, and as a mom, I want to be present for all of it, which is challenging when I'm concerned with making sure performers safely arrived to their events and that everything went smoothly.

I have weighed whether to stay open or not since the pandemic a few times. This spring I decided to take a pause on new bookings to see how I felt about it.

At this time I'm going to continue to have this pause on new bookings. If we do decide to reopen I want to be fully confident that I have a full enough cast to accommodate requests.

Thank you so much for your support over the past decade+, I really have had the best customers.

Go figure my kids were super into the characters for the first time, and former character performer mommy hadn't thought to get them an autograph book 🤣🤣🤣

We’ve just returned from a truly magical 11-day Disney World vacation. I can’t wait to share the details with you.

On this trip I decided to book a split-stay (two different resorts). It’s not normally my preference, but I wanted to have even more insight for my clients, and enjoy the benefits of two different areas.

For the first 7 nights we felt truly at home at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. For the final half-week of our trip we were well taken care of and pampered with our club level stay at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

The whole trip was just amazing. My kids and I were tearful about going home, and my husband was already starting to talk about planning a Disneyland trip on the ride back to the airport. It was a really special vacation for our family.

We repeated some of our favorite restaurants, and experienced a handful that we don’t typically book. We definitely have some new favorites.

I’ve been keeping notes the whole trip, and have even more tips, tricks, and recommendations.

I’ll post a daily recap of our trip each day along with some dining reviews and tips. My most in depth tips, tricks, and hidden gem restaurants are reserved for my clients.

I can’t wait to tell you all about it, and I’m happy to answer any questions! Most importantly, I’m here and ready to help your family have just as amazing of a time!
