Our Story
Learning from the mistakes of our ancestors through storytelling and language comprehension is essential to advance society. From the beginning of humanity, our knowledge about who came before us, events that occurred, and what we know about the world today was done through art. It came naturally to the first humans to teach future generations by exploiting their 5 senses and emotions. Whether is was caveman drawings, songs, acting out events, or dancing: art came first.
In today’s dynamic technology-based society, these natural important art forms are commonly lost in the daily grind. Likewise, funding and exposure for the arts is ever changing and can be overshadowed by subjects like English, science, and math, and constant exposure to celebrities and commercials. Although there are studios outside of school that provide additional education for the arts, many do not teach the history and culture of where the artform came from. In such a competitive and perfectionist world, an environment that encourages free expression of artforms with other members of a local community is hard to come by.
The Hitterz Collective is a solution to this problem.
THE HITTERZ COLLECTIVE MISSION: Our mission is to provide a positive atmosphere where creative minds at all levels can learn, teach, network, and express themselves freely through artistry while being mindful of cultural history and to support the development and growth of the local art communities.
