Princess Millies Foundation will always have a piece of my heart ❤️

For months our friends at Walking for Gold have been telling us they had a surprise for us at this year's show. Nothing could have prepared us for the moment they announced that the first designer of the night was our Millie. One of the models in the show was Millie's cousin, Cyndell. She tracked down copies of Millie's designs and Knotty Stitches brought them to life in a way we never could have imagined. We were literally speechless and there were many tears shed. It's impossible to put into words what this means ❤️

The Macleod family have been friends and clients for years. I've been able to make and alter kilts for their kids for Highland Dance and for Family events since they were small. This year for Christmas their oldest son got his first adult 6yard kilt. Mom sent this awesome photo of the kids. Thanks Macleod family ❤️

Making of Beauty and the Beast -
A few fun behind the scenes shots of designing and building these characters costumes. Everything was built and made to custom measurements for 2 sets of actors per character. So all costumes were made twice.
Yes, It was a beast of a project, but one I'm glad I took on and did :)

Well its offical that I will be busy this fall costuming 2 different productions.
One for SLCC's Black Box Theatre : "The curious Incident of the Dog in the Nightime".
and the other for The Empress Theatre. " Beauty and the Beast".

Two very different types of shows, one stylized and the other a build.
If you can't find me thats where I will be when not teaching at the Fashion Institute or Managing the Fulfillment Department at Gigi Pip.
I'm happy the Preforming Arts are up and going again!! It's show time :)

It's been along time coming for Highland Dance to start up again since Covid. It came back with a blast of growing dancers.
Here are a few highlights from this last month.
New Highland Jackets, kilts, kilt alterations and more. I'm back into the swing of it ;)
