Why I Started A & Y Birthday Blessings
One day, while driving to work, I had a moment of reflection. I thought about my business, A & Y Event Kreationz, LLC, and how, despite years of experience and a strong passion for event planning, I wasn’t making the progress I wanted in such a competitive market. Delaware is a small state, yet it’s filled with event planners, designers, and rental companies, making it challenging to stand out.
But then, I realized something—I have a gift. The ability to create beautiful, memorable events isn’t just a skill; it’s something I’ve been blessed with. And if I wasn’t using that gift to its fullest potential, why not use it to bless others? That’s when the idea for A & Y Birthday Blessings was born.
I wanted to give children, especially those facing financial hardship, the joy of celebrating their birthdays—something that many families struggling with job loss, transitional housing, or shelter life may not be able to provide. Every child deserves to feel special on their birthday, to blow out candles, to be surrounded by love and celebration, no matter their circumstances.
Through A & Y Birthday Blessings, I offer different ways to make this possible. Whether it’s a “Birthday-in-a-Box” filled with decorations, cake, and a small gift for families to celebrate on their own, group birthday parties in partnership with shelters and organizations, or individual celebrations where I personally bring the magic of a birthday to a deserving child, my goal is simple—to create moments of joy, even in difficult times.
I didn’t want my talents to sit idle. I wanted to gift my expertise to those who need it most. A & Y Birthday Blessings is more than just an initiative—it’s my way of giving back, one birthday at a time.
