Tropical Maui Weddings began in 2006 as a collaboration between a wedding singer and a career elementary school teacher. Creativity and organization came together as Jamie Lawrence & Lori Scott began creating their vision of a destination wedding company dedicated to assisting couples in creating the wedding of their dreams from thousands of miles away. Top on their list of objectives was eliminating the anxiety and stress that often accompanies the wedding planning process. Now, many years later, it seems that they have succeeded.
Jamie Lawrence was born in this beautiful paradise of Maui. He has been an entertainer on Maui since an early age, and has graced thousands of weddings with his magical voice. He has performed at weddings across the country, and even internationally. Aside from Jamie's incredible music, he is also a skilled helicopter pilot. Besides being a former US Army pilot and local search and rescuer, he has whisked many couples away to remote maui rain forest waterfalls to have the ultimate private ceremony in the beauty of Maui's lush valleys.
Lori (Scott) Lawrence was born and raised in Iowa. She was a school teacher for sixteen years for the Des Moines School District before meeting Jamie while on vacation. She relocated to Maui nearly 16 years ago. Once she arrived on the island, she experienced the love and excitement in all of the weddings that Jamie sang for. She felt that being a wedding planner might be just what she was truly destined to become. She is a natural at making wedding dreams come true. She has helped so many couples plan their dream weddings, and has a long list of extremely satisfied couples. She puts her heart into each and every wedding, whether it is a wedding for 2 or 200. Every detail is carefully planned out. Everyone can tell that she truly loves what she does. Her primary goal is to keep every one of her wedding couples worry and stress free! And she does it all with an amazing flair.
Sherron (Lawrence) Daniels, Jamie’s daughter, was born and raised on the island of Maui. Sherron is a vibrant and energetic soul, and has a true desire for making her couple’s wedding dreams come true. She left Maui for San Diego just after graduating high school in order to attend college. She later moved to Las Vegas, where she enjoyed a successful career in the Hospitality industry for several years. She then relocated back to San Diego, where she became a successful real estate agent in a booming Southern California market. This is where she met her husband to be, Sean Daniels. Their wedding at Olowalu Plantation in 2018 sparked Sherron’s interest in creating weddings. Shortly thereafter, they relocated back to Maui, where she is now an integral part of the Tropical Maui Weddings team. She brings with her a new energy and creativity. We could not be more excited to have her back home!
