Piper is growing up and starting to enjoy being petted! Her momma is still pretty protective but is slowly learning to let go and not be such a helicopter mom. We’re so excited about how small she’s staying and love her naturally calm temperament. And with all that fluff, her sweet little face just melts our hearts!
She will be on display this fall. Share with all your fluffy cow friends!

🚨 Field Trip Fun with Ace the Addax! 🚨

Ace the addax had a special adventure last week—he visited All Children’s Academy! Seeing an addax in person is rare, but getting to touch one? That’s almost unheard of! The kids were thrilled to meet Ace up close, and he even joined in for a game of chase!

These unforgettable moments are what make learning hands-on and exciting. Thank you, ACA, for welcoming Ace and giving him such a warm (and energetic!) reception!

Today was Buddy and Barbie’s first adventure in the kangaroo enclosure! They had a blast hopping around, exploring, and playing together. It’s safe to say they’re loving their new space!

Happy International Zebra Day! 🦓🎉

Today, we’re celebrating one of the most iconic and beautifully striped animals—zebras! Here at Circle D Funny Farm, we are lucky to have three amazing Grant’s zebras:

🐾 Zorro – Our handsome and confident leader
🐾 Zora – The soon to be momma of the trio
🐾 Zoey – The feisty and playful youngster

Our zebras are Grant’s zebras, the most common and smallest subspecies of the plains zebra. Native to eastern and southern Africa, they are known for their bold black-and-white stripes, which serve as camouflage, a natural insect repellent, and even a way to regulate body temperature! Each zebra’s stripe pattern is unique—just like a fingerprint.

Unfortunately, while Grant’s zebras are not currently endangered, habitat loss and poaching threaten zebra populations across Africa. Days like today remind us to appreciate and protect these incredible animals!
