We have some very exciting news to announce! 🎉 A week after getting these sweet decals added to our truck, Stafford Township New Jersey approved us for a peddler's permit!
You might be wondering what that is and what that means for Pinto's Porch. It means that you will be seeing a lot more of us! We can officially sell your favorites at festivals and events. We also plan to drive around the neighborhood with fresh boxes of our signature Phoenix Fried Rice.
Icecream trucks, move over! There's a new player in town! Just kidding 🤭 we love our ice cream trucks. But now you can grab dinner from us first then indulge in a sweet treat. It's a win win! 🙌
Screaming happy birthday to my husband, John Pinto, the founder of Pinto's Porch! His creativity never stops, even after closing the store he is always coming up with new dishes to offer for our catering services.
John won't be doing much celebrating this weekend as we're booked with several catering jobs; but he says every party booked and hearing the positive feedback is the best gift he could ask for because he is still doing what he loves!

We got new equipment in preparation for some upcoming caterings. Tested them out with a few batches of Phoenix Fried Rice AKA CRACK RICE 🤪 There's a 1/2 tray left (it went quick, as per usual).

We had a much needed get away this past weekend. Some quality time and the Florida sunshine is exactly what we needed after 2 years of nonstop hustling. Now it's time to focus on getting back in the game. We are finalizing paperwork so that we'll be able to book caterings very soon!
Smoke on the Water BBQ will also be available once everything is all set. We look forward to serving you all again!
It's moving day! This all so bittersweet for us. We spent so much time selecting the perfect photographs to fill our walls. It's so hard to let them go. But we're hoping they can go to good homes that will love and appreciate them the same way we did.

We started offering BOTW shortly after we opened. Over the past 2 years we've created and given away nearly 100 burgers! 🤯 All of our staff had a hand in creating these burgers, but we have to give a shout out to our girl, Amy. 👏 She has been the brains behind several of these creative names, including this week's burger. We're gonna miss your creativity, your ideas, your black board designs, your dedication, and your crazy ferrit and cat stories. 🤟

We're nearing our last days of serving you all. So while I'm on this emotional roller coaster, I'd like to share how our journey began. John and I met while working together at Lefty's Tavern. We became friends immediately. A few months later we both got hired at a new restaurant that was opening up. John was the manager, and I was a bartender.
My mom told me it was a bad idea to date my boss. But like any stubborn daughter, I didn't listen. We were engaged after 6 months of dating and married 1 year later 💕
We have both worked in the restaurant industry our entire adult life. Serving the public is what we know and do best. During covid, when restaurants were shut down, John transformed our garage into an outdoor kitchen and started cooking for large groups of friends. It was quickly dubbed Pinto's Porch. He really enjoyed this new challenge. We decided with all of our combined experience, love for the industry, and drive, we would open our own place.
John's dad advised against us working together as husband and wife as it can put a strain on marriage. But like stubborn children, we did it anyway.
We have been challenged & tested during these last 2 years more than we ever could have imagined. But throughout it all, it has only made us closer and stronger. John and I met while working together, got married and had a baby, and opened a restaurant together. And together, we are closing this chapter. We look forward to our next venture together!

Recently, we were approached by a student from OCC, Declan Vidal. They were working on a project for class about gluten free eating and asked us to be interviewed about our gluten free safety and procedures and we happily obliged.
