If you're wondering why my feed has become a love letter to Croatia... this is why.

Tonight hurt.

Croatia is going home, and somehow millions of us felt that heartbreak together.

But that's the magic of the World Cup.

It reminds us where we come from. It gives us collective joy, collective heartbreak, and a feeling of belonging that's hard to put into words.

As a Croatian-American, those feelings have shaped so much of who I am, including why I love weddings so deeply.

To my clients who gifted me and my family the experience this past weekend... thank you.

I cried for days before accepting because it felt too generous, like winning a lottery I never entered.

This week reminded me that home isn't always a place.

Sometimes it's the people who help you find your way back to it.

This is my season to let go and let my heart crack wide open. My heart is literally so full. It is the utmost privilege to be a part of so many intimate moments and to be welcomed with open arms by your clients and their families.

It's emotional and overwhelming sometimes, but, how lucky am I to make things happen for two people in love and their families?

Also, imagine growing up with a cool Dad who has a band? 💕

Jen and Aaron, yesterday and this whole weekend was magic, and I thank you for letting me be a part of it.

Every so often, my favorite childhood memories come shining through via sports. And, if you know me or have seen my stories lately, I am a fan of it all. 🏒⚽️🏀🧢

The white noise of sports is calming to me. Sneakers on the court. Vuvel

Do I have time to watch entire seasons? No. It's wedding season and I'm a Mom. Do I know current players names? Some, but not all, obviously. Do I feel joy watching humans come together? Absolutely!

It is now June. We've got weddings. We've got The Knicks in 5 (!🤞!). We've got World Cup.

There will be no aesthetic on this feed except for the pure joy of seeing people come together and love on each other. And an excuse to celebrate my New Jersey and Croatianess for a month.

If it's your first time here, I also have the privilege of making weddings and events happen for some amazing people in the tri-state and worldwide. So very nice to meet you!

Now, scooch over. The game is on!

Almost two weeks ago, I had one of those moments where you look out at the crowd at your clients' wedding, then you look at your vendor friends and then you just have to say, "How lucky are we?!" To be able to celebrate and create once-in-a-lifetime experiences for some amazing people is seriously the best job in the world.

Thank you and for not only being the best, but always walking in gratitude and joy with me. Sky's the limit! 💫 Also, special shout to too. Thank you! 🙏 is probably going to wear the shirt tomorrow. So excited! Haha.

Wedding planner tip:

I know you spent good money on your wedding invitations. Please don’t let the post office machines ruin them.

Hand stamping (or hand canceling your postage) keeps your invitations out of the sorting rollers and helps those beautiful details arrive intact.
