Cutting Edge Alterations Rose has over 20 years of specialized experience in altering and redesigning wedding gowns and her abilities are limitless.

Her services also include all wedding party dresses, prom dresses and first communion dresses, suits, pants and casual dresses. Rose offers a wide range of alterations skills and will offer suggestions to make your clothing fit comfortably. She has previously worked for nine years as a seamstress/alterations manager for Brides and Weddings, and also sewed custom home furnishings for 5 years prior to that, for Roses In the Snow and Lakes Design all of which are in Manchester Iowa.

Congratulations to Ella Oakleaf Marsh! Ella called in March to secure time for her bridal gown alterations. She requested a side slit, which gave her legs the freedom to dance the night away! I also changed her lapel to make it more attractive across her bust, giving it an extra pleat to shorten it up a bit. Other alterations included the typical hemming, taking in the sides, and adding a bustle for the reception. Ella was married on June 28th.

Recently this Spring I altered Juliann Balister Mullis' bridal gown during her 50 # weight loss journey. She absolutely loved the dress after I made it fit properly. The first fitting was to make the bodice larger by adding fabric to the sides with sheer fabric and covering them with lace. Then I needed to adjust the bust, shoulders, sides. A couple of times I might add because she kept loosing weight. After all that I hemmed and bustled the dress. She looked wonderful in her dress and I'm so happy for her meeting her weight loss goal.
