New temp road ... you must enter only from the west side of the intersection of 150th St. and hwy 13. Look for my sign and stay to the west side which is your left side after you turn North and follow up to my farm. If your using GPS you must enter the intersection, not my address. Thank you

Sharing a recent wedding parties' review! They brought me four dresses and one was a major alteration of reducing 11 inches on the sides, shoulder, heart shaped back cut out and hem! It looked absolutely perfect when completed with just two fitting appointments.

My sophomore year I made my Prom dress in Home Economics class. I brought it out this year to show my girls, how the styles of some of their dresses are looking alot like what we wore in the early eighties! I was pleasantly surprised how many compliments I have recieved on it, so I decided to show all of you.

The 2024 Prom showcased 54 lovely girls in knit, lace, and tulle dresses with sequins and rhinestones. Straps and leg slits were popular, necessitating creative adjustments for a flawless fit. Rouching accentuated their hips, waist, and busts. Most dresses featured trains that required bustling. Take a look at some of the dresses and enjoy the latest styles.

Cora Kerns made her First Communion on April 21st in her mother's dress that she wore for her first communion. Last winter I redesigned the little dress by adding the layers of tulle under the existing fabric layers in back of the skirt and made the hemline drop down a bit in back. I also added the beaded belt with bow and removed some of existing fabric rosettes in the back. I think it turned out wonderful!

Making dreams come true for Sarah Honkomp!
Sarah wanted her daughter Aspen to wear her bridal gown for her first communion and wanted it look exactly the same. What I did...
1. Cut out all the crinoline and lining and bust darts.
2. Took out corset back and put in a zipper.
3. Made a sheer bodice to cover her shoulders with a heart shaped keyhole back.
4. Took in all the skirt fulness in back and sides. Took in bodice sides also.
5. Replaced fabric where a baptismal gown had already been cut out for Aspens baptism.
6. Shortened the hemline!

Note, Bridal gown was a women's size 6 and I transformed it into a girl's size 6 First Communion dress!!

I had the wonderful opportunity to redesign and alter three generations of gowns for Alyssa Sellner's wedding this past year.
She wore her Grandma's gown for her engagement pics. I altered Jennifer Hahn's wedding gown to a short fun dress! Then altered her wedding gown for wedding!

Recently I had the opportunity to redesign this first communion dress that sewn in the nineties by this little girls Great Great Grandma, and worn by her mother in 1994. I love the new look!

Business sign had to be moved temporarily to allow for road construction on Hwy 13. I will remain open through all of the construction as they will have to provide access to my business driveway. I'm not sure when they will start, but it will take up my next years busiest season.

Deirdre Erthum graciously wore her Grandma's 1930's gown. I remade the lace bodice because the dry cleaning process and age had made the lace too fragile to wear. I took it apart and used it for a pattern. It has covered buttons down the back and on the sleeves. I also added the flower embelishment. I also altered the satin bodice and upgraded the side zipper. I Found a way to make it longer too, as Diedra is tall and slender.
It's such a beautiful gown and she wore it with honor!

Some of the 45 Prom dresses that I altered. I put in a corset back, made flutter and cap sleeves, shorted hemlines, took in sides of bust, waist and hips! Sewed on beads, shortened straps, just to name a few of my alterations.

Abigail Davis made her First Communion today in this lovely gown that I created out of her mother's wedding gown two years ago. Her sister was the first to wear it in 2020! I used the original skirt and took the beaded lace off the wedding gown bodice and created a beaded overlay on sweetheart neckline short sleeves. I designed and made everything with out using a pattern. I was alot of fun!

This year I had the opportunity to alter prom dresses for these schools...Beckman, Ed-Co, Starmont, West Delaware, Maq-Valley, Monticello, East-Buc, Wapsie Valley, Sumner Newhartford, Central, Waterloo Columbus, &
