Visit The Northshore, in collaboration with local property owners, is sponsoring the creation of five murals across St. Tammany Parish to promote the region, enhance the visitor experience, and celebrate local artisanship. Murals will be installed in Abita Springs, Covington, Madisonville, Mandeville, and Slidell, with the site in Mandeville currently seeking artists. ​

This project aims to install permanent public art of lasting value to the community, encouraging visitors and locals alike to engage with the murals and share their experiences.

Grab your blankets and chairs and join us for our Inaugural Mandeville Creole Culture Fest Saturday, November 2nd. The festival is a vibrant celebration of the rich heritage, music, food, and traditions of Louisiana Creole culture. This family-friendly event brings together locals and visitors alike for an evening of live entertainment, cultural exploration, and community connection. Whether you're looking to immerse yourself in the rhythms of Creole music, taste authentic cuisine, or learn about Creole history and customs, there's something for everyone at the festival!

Festival Highlights include Creole Conversations. Listen to local experts, authors, and cultural leaders as they explore topics such as Creole identity, cuisine, language, and the future of Creole culture in Louisiana. The panel discussion will take place in the Trailhead Depot at 3:00 p.m.

Festival activities begin at 4:00 p.m. including live music performances by The Northshore Gospel Choir; Soul Seduction Brass Band with special guests Big Chief Darryl Montana, Big Queen Dianne Honoré and Spyboy Caliste of the Yellow Pocahontas black masking Indians; CaJaB Creole Jazz Band; and Joe Krown Trio + Papa Mali.

Our Kids Tent is the perfect spot for families with young children. Packed with fun, educational activities, the tent offers interactive workshops, crafts, storytelling, and games, all designed to teach kids about the beauty of Creole culture in a playful and engaging way.
