Kando Tip: Don’t throw away your ham/chicken/turkey bones/carcasses… ever (including those shrimp heads/peels & crab/lobster shells)! Take all your leftover herbs & Veg (even those about to turn- anything works, peppers, mushrooms, carrots) throw them in a pot and make different homemade stocks to freeze for future dishes. Some of our most popular meals are secretly made with a base of our stocks. Whether you’re making a creamy pasta, casserole, red beans, gumbo… I promise it will give you more depth of flavor.

Wanna know a secret? Several years ago I tested this with our leftover bones from Popeyes Spicy fried chicken. I wasn’t sure it would actually change the stock or if it would be noticeable in a dish. And… 💰🔥👌🏽 it’s now my favorite stock to use as a base.

(After I take any leftover skin pieces, reheat in the oven, and crumble them over a pizza of course)
