🎉 February 11, 2025 marks 40 years of R.T. Clown bringing entertainment, laughter, and joy across Southern California! 🎭✨

Did you know our founder, Robin Charin, started her career on Broadway? After 15 years performing on stage, she moved to Los Angeles in 1978 to transition to movies and television. 🎬 While small roles came her way, making a living proved challenging. 💼

To make ends meet, Robin began performing at children’s birthday parties for an entertainment company. It wasn't long before she realized she could provide the same services herself and even better. With a $1,000 loan from her father (repaid in just two months!), R.T. Clown, Inc. was born.

Robin performed as a clown and look-alike characters for R.T. Clown's first few years, quickly developing a loyal clientele and a strong word-of-mouth following. From that one-woman startup, R.T. Clown blossomed into a full-scale event production and specialty entertainment company.

Martin Luther King Jr.: Five Things You May Not Know About Him

1. In 1964, at the age of 35, Dr. King became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. He donated the prize money ($54,123) to the civil rights movement.

2. Dr. King earned his Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Boston University in 1955. His dissertation, "A Comparison of the Conceptions of God in the Thinking of Paul Tillich and Henry Nelson Wieman," explored the nature of God and theological concepts.

3. He skipped both the ninth and twelfth grades, entering Morehouse College at just 15 years old.

4. While many know Dr. King was influenced by Mahatma Gandhi's principles of nonviolent resistance, he only fully embraced these methods after a trip to India in 1959. This journey profoundly impacted his views and solidified his commitment to nonviolence.

5. His iconic "I Have a Dream" speech during the March on Washington in 1963 was partly improvised. The famous "I have a dream" refrain was not part of his prepared remarks but was inspired by a gospel singer's encouragement and his own previous sermons.
