Help us turn lemons into lemonade….

We are facing another 6 weeks of road construction due to record rainfalls and flooding pushing the river level above the grade of the roadway. You might not know looking at it because it’s dry above ground, but accessing the utilities that are being replaced has been the challenge.

Trying to keep my head up with optimism for that grand reopening, but an additional 6 weeks of significant loss of sales is crushing and it’s impacting my team and family significantly.

We are truly at the point where every sale matters.

Buy a lemon, a gift, a treat for your family or friend. Be the person who chooses to support the old town businesses. If not mine then my neighbors. Not everyone will be brave enough to say it but I will: action is needed. I’ve advocated with our city for funding through grants or low interest loans and currently nothing is available.

I think it’s important to note that Bumbelou WILL be here through this. Our doors won’t close. BUT the condition of my family, my team, and the financial debt level we will carry for probably years to come in order to survive yet another “storm” makes it hard for me to stomach any more verbal platitudes. Actions are the only way to turn these lemons into lemonade. 🍋
