The Team

The Grand Lady team is composed of three families committed to the creation of meaningful and joyous celebrations of love that come with a wedding. To do this, we sought to create a unique and inspired space, just outside our city built for the commemoration and celebration of a marriage.

By 2017, Katie West had been hunting over 5 years for a space where she could bring her dream to life. Her dream was to create a place where people could create weddings that made couples feel the same joy, inspiration and gratitude she felt on her own wedding day.

Shortly after discovering the Grand Lady, Katie set out to transform what had been a family home into the centerpiece of a wedding venue. She enlisted the support of husband and wife team Franny Peterson and Kevin Sullivan, two dear friends and architects based in Austin to shape the vision for the 19 acres and 3000 Square ft mansion.

After acquiring the space in Summer of 2019, Katie, Frannie and Kevin brought on fellow husband and wife architects Michael Deere and Anna Katsois to design the facility.
