The weekend is here, so let's talk Pizza! 2 Two Cousins' Pizza Co. in Mansfield, one of the areas the River covers, was promoting a Fruity Pebbles Pizza! That got me curious. So I found these odd pizza toppings too. What's the strangest thing you've ever had on a pizza?

Haven't done a poll in a while...but it's National Pancake Day, so I thought I'd ask...What is your favorite filling/topping for a pancake?
1. Chocolate Chips
2. Blueberries
3. So much syrup of any flavor I can't see the pancake
4. Bananas
5. Topping? Are you nuts? Just put some syrup on and it's all good!

Who’s your coach pooch? That person that pushed you, but at the same time encouraged you? My coach pooch was Mr. Puccarelli, my track coach in hi school. We all called him coach pooch, just never to his face. He was from New England, but at Scott Co. Sr. Hi in Georgetown, Ky. (Being from Michigan myself, I had to help translate for my classmates sometimes) I thought I was a sprinter. He put me in the half mile, and race I had never run, and never thought in my wildest dreams I could. He was always hollering encouragement as I ran, in that strong New England accent. I never won a race, but I came in second and third sometimes. But I’ll never forget the encouragement he always gave me. I don’t know where coach pooch is now, but I wish I could find him to say thanks. Who was your coach pooch? (And yes, I know, the pic is black and white.....it was 1976....)

With tongue FIRMLY in cheek, I would like to suggest it's time for a change! The Northern Cardinal is the state bird of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia AND Ohio! www.flyaviary.com says there are 15 types of cardinals! Can't we find one that's just for us?

I would humbly suggest the Yellow Cardinal! It would certainly be unique, and stand out! And it's a close relative of the Northern Cardinal, different only in it's color, which is a genetic variation called xanthochroism, which eliminates red pigments. It really is quite striking to see. Have any of my bird friends seen a Yellow Cardinal?
