We are so excited to welcome Dennis Mathew, author of Bello the Cello, for a special family performance at RSAA!

Today, our RSAA History Club students had the opportunity to take learning beyond the classroom at the Ashbrook Luncheon at Ashland University.

Our 8th grade students participated in a discussion of one of Abraham Lincoln’s sp*eches alongside university professors, giving them the opportunity to examine history, ideas, and leadership through thoughtful conversation. They then heard from Jonathan Turley, professor, best-selling author, and Fox News analyst.

We were also honored to be joined by Mrs. Gorman, founder of RSAA, and Gwyn Jones, an Ashbrook Scholar and RSAA alum.

Experiences like this give our students the chance to engage with history in a meaningful way, ask questions, hear different perspectives, and see that learning does not end at the classroom door.

We are excited to kick off our Spirit Days for the year!

Our first Spirit Day will be Friday, September 25, with Dolly Parton Day — a fun “Nine to Five” celebration for 9-25!

Students in grades K–8 are invited to join in by wearing country-inspired outfits, pink, rhinestones, sparkles, big hair, boots, or anything that brings a little extra Dolly-style flair to the day.

And, of course, one of the most important things we can bring is kindness.

We are looking forward to a fun year of Spirit Days that give our students and staff opportunities to celebrate, connect, and show their school spirit together.

We are excited to welcome author and musician Dennis Mathew to RSAA this week!

Dennis Mathew, author of Bello the Cello, will be spending time with our students during the school day, sharing stories, music, creativity, and the joy of using our gifts.

A super visitor stopped by Kindergarten!

Ms. Cline’s Kindergarten class had a special visit from Spider-Man, who talked with students about the importance of using good manners, being kind, and making good choices.

After sharing his message, Spider-Man even joined the class for lunch!

Thank you to Spider-Man for helping our students remember that being respectful, polite, and kind is one of the best ways to be a hero every day.

RSAA families, we are just one week away from welcoming author and musician Dennis Mathew to our school!

RSAA Student Spotlight!

We love celebrating the amazing things our students are doing inside and outside of school.

One of our RSAA students is performing in a local production of Newsies Jr. as part of the ensemble! Theater takes courage, focus, teamwork, and creativity, and we are so proud to see her using her gifts on stage.

Science got a little silly in 4th grade!

Miss Amanda’s class practiced the scientific method by testing how long it would take a TikTok Silky Gem to melt in different liquids.

The real liquids included things like water, vinegar, dish soap and water, peroxide, and vegetable oil — but the students only knew them by their mystery names: bird saliva, bath water, dragon's blood, shark snot, and Shrek p*e.

Students made predictions, tested their ideas, observed what happened, and recorded their results.

Curiosity, laughter, and learning all showed up for this experiment.

Way to go, 4th grade scientists!
