KottonSense, my new venture is born from my heart and skill of talented artists, love for mother earth, loads of hard work, my love for Rajasthan, support from my family and good vibes sent to me from all of you. I am back in India to continue my journey I started last November, the research, the desire to meet the artists who create magical designs, to learn more about their life, to educate myself and to learn more. There are always new possibilities.
As I was leaving with my dear friend Moreen for my flight to Jaipur, my mom's maid Sujata just came up to me and handed me this red notebook as a gift. For those who are not aware, maids in India work hard to make ends meet. Every rupee matters and counts. But she had a gracious heart to give me something that I will truly love. I was really surprised and asked her why she would do that? To that she sheepishly said "Tumhi lihta na, mhanun" (You write.. that's why) I looked at my mom and asked her how did she know I write. To that she said,"I show her all your photos and posts, I think that's how she knows!" I was really touched and considered it a good sign of love and goodluck. The greatest gift that you can give others is the gift of unconditional love and acceptance. Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more.
