We hiked a cute new to us trail and found all kinds of treasures:
- a geocaching box
- big juicy Salmon berries
- almost ripe Huckleberries
- a cool snail
- and some coal!!

Mama & Me Walk & Picnic at Gene Coulon Beach Park was pretty fun this morning. I had plans to play games and find the colors of the 🌈 rainbow... but no one can compete with a sandy beach lined with dump trucks and friends to play with. #

Mama & Me Bike Ride on the foothills trail was so good today! Fact: We always give plenty of time for Mamas to get kids & gear out of the cars, we never actually leave on our adventures when the event time comes along. That's when we meet at the location.

Had a fun walk along this new to us section of the Cedar River Trail. Saw tons of slugs along the path. Did you know that banana slugs climb up a tree and hang down on a thick rope of slime to mate?! [Ps: new bucket list item for me to see a couple like that... 🤣🫣]

I am so impressed by all these amazing families showing up with the littlest ⛺️ campers for a rather wet night 🌙 away. We made the most of it: hiked, biked, enjoyed the campfires, bubble blowing times, watched a mini puppet show as our bedtime story and got to fall asleep [or lay awake🤣] to the sound of rain on our tents.

Mama & Me Camping trips are when camping shenanigans (explore with friends until dark, dinner, bedtime story & s'more by a campfire) are so good, that you don't even care how challenging it is to sleep in a tent with littles.
These trips were meant to introduce you and your family to tent camping, help each other out and enjoy each other's company. Rain or shine, it's adventure time!

When someone you love/care about is experiencing a loss as tragic and senseless as the death of a child, knowing what to say or how to help can be challenging.
