So… it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. Thing is, I’ve been doing lots and lots of events since moving to Asheville … but not under LH Event Design. Starting a business is tough and moving to a new location? Well it’s like starting from scratch. For now, I’m taking it as it comes and seeing where it leads me. But LH Event Design will always be a part of me, so I’m going to find ways to breathe life back into it. I’m excited for the next stage. And hope you’ll join me along the way. ❤️

March 30th always comes with a certain sting. My beautiful, stylish mom would have celebrated her 81st birthday today. It’s crazy how many years have gone by… grandchildren never known, milestones missed, and all the simple everyday conversations and phone calls never shared. But of all things I find myself missing the most, it’s her hands. I know, kinda crazy right? But I remember being fascinated by them as a little girl. They were so beautiful and strong and capable yet always warm and gentle to the touch. I wanted hands like that when I grew up. So much time has passed yet still so much a part of me and with me. Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Don’t post pictures of myself here much … I’m usually running around in jeans and an apron stuffed with scissors, ribbon, floral knife and command strips. But my assistant and dear friend recently took this photo after setup, and I though I’d share, say, hey, and a big, big thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special events!
