Today ....

Sometimes we spend some much time focus on achievements and goals, checking of items on our To Do list that we forget we are only humans and that we need physical and mental breaks.

Not until our body reminds us that it needs to rest. My MIA is not intentional, my body is simply unable to function, therefore I am unable to function.

I am thankful for another day, and pray that my body recovers. But until I am able to fully function I have no choice but to be missed from time to time.

When we explain this to our brides, it always comes as such a shock. I think we’ve got used to living in an Amazon world where you can get something instantly. Wedding dresses are not the same. They are carefully constructed, take time to cut, apply each beautiful layer of lace, tulle and add the delicate (often hand-sewn) beading. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Due to these troubled times (Covid, shipping delays, staff shortages etc..), we’ve seen an increase in the length of time dresses are taking to be made.

Don’t put dress shopping off as you may find your choices are more limited the closer to your wedding you get. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While we can always sell a gown off the rack, or you can choose from a selection of gowns with a short shipping and we have designers do hold a small stock, you’ll have the most choice if you start your wedding dress shopping at least 10-months before your big day 🤍⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

And if you see something you love, don’t hesitate because the delivery dates we give you at that time are only valid then. If you leave it a few weeks/months they may be even longer!

So.. you’ve ordered your dress with us. What happens next?

Depending on the designer you chose, your dress will take anywhere from 3-7 months to be made for you.

Designers give us an estimated arrival date but this can vary due to external factors (such as shipping, staffing and even Ukrainian wars!) In these crazy times, we always recommend getting your order in nice and early to save you and us the stress!

Once your dress arrives with us, we will send you an email and text to let you know the exciting news that SHE’S ARRIVED!! 🙌🏻

You will then be invited in to attend an Pre Fitting Appointment with us. This is such a lovely time where you get to try on your actual wedding dress and we can look at how you would like to style her - with veils, capes, wings, jackets, headpieces, crowns, jewelry etc..

Some of our accessories do take 6-8 weeks to come in - so again it’s always best to have ordered your dress nice and early. You then have time to look at and order accessories in a relaxed way and you really do have the maximum choice.

After this, if you would like to use our alterations service, your first fitting will be 8-10 weeks before your wedding. This is when you need to be the weight you want to as your dress will be pinned and then altered to your exact measurements. You also need your wedding shoes as your hem is going to be cut to your exact heel height 👌🏻

Your 2nd fitting is then a few weeks before your wedding when you’ll come back to check all the alterations are ok. On occasions you might need a 3rd fitting to get that perfect fit.

You will then take your beautifully steamed and pressed dress away with you in a gown cover bag to keep her away from prying eyes.

You are now wedding ready 🙌🏻

Ladies we have had word from the majority of our Designers that their prices are going up. Some by 5% and some by 15%! In this current world, the price of everything is increasing so it’s unsurprising that this has had a knock on effect on the prices of wedding dresses.

We would be updating all our prices on our website and in store to reflect the price increase starting September 1st.

Listen up if you have not yet said yes!

If you have visited us this month or earlier this year and fallen for a dress, but not yet said yes we will honor the original price until the end of this month!

Hurry hurry!

Please do not blame us for the price increase. This is completely out of our hands. Energy prices, shipping, inflation, staff shortages etc .. have all lead to price increases on everything ☹️ But the good news is that you still have over three weeks to grab the lower price and save 💷💷

First thing first, call, text or visit our website to book your appointment. We love technology but also believe in a good old fashioned conversation, and we'll call to get to know you.

We offer a personal appointment: The appointment is an hour + 30 minutes, and we advise bringing up to 6-guest, we serve wine, champagne + snacks.

Shopping experience: Stylist reviews your Pinterest board or pictures of dresses you like. Or you can just browse our sample dress. She then pulls samples of dresses in similar styles and silhouettes for your fitting. She captures the details and feedback, and the design process begins. Yes, you get to custom design your dress from the features you love from the different dresses. She takes measures, and your dress is ready for your first fitting in 2 months, and delivery within 4 months.

Best of all no alterations are necessary, and the bustle is included. We know this is the most exciting time for you, and we are delighted to be a part of the magic.
