At Lotus Petals, we've not only been serving the MapSO community since 2007, we've been a part of this community since moving to Maplewood in 2003. Kids have grown up in Maplewood, the classes of 2014 and 2021! The fiber of what makes it such an amazing community is part of the foundation of this business.

So! 17 (!!!) years ago, a little flower shop called Lotus Petals opened its doors in Maplewood Village. I was thrilled to see my dream come to fruition. There’s been so many beautiful connections made, so many life events I’ve been honored to be a part of. There’s been a lot of ups and downs, and we’re still kicking just like we were back in 2007! Thank you so much to this beautiful community for continuing to support Lotus Petals. Your patronage and support and love mean the absolute world. So grateful for you all! ❤️❤️

With a mix of emotions, I come here to share some news. Starting in mid-December, Lotus Petals as a physical retail store will cease to exist. The owner of the building at 1779 Springfield Avenue has decided to transition the space into a family business, which won't include my retail florist. As you know, I've already moved my business once in the past 5 years, and I simply don't have the energy for another move. In November, we'll continue to fulfill Thanksgiving and other orders as usual. Then by December 15, we'll be pivoting to a phone-in and online-order business only. Christmas orders must be placed by that time. Subscription customers will continue as usual, and while we will no longer be able to accommodate same-day orders or walk-ins, we are happy to be able to continue to serve our valued customers as we transition to a delivery only business. It will just take a little bit of planning on your part for those anniversary, “just because” or birthday flowers, and event planning will be done over the phone, via Zoom or perhaps a local coffee shop. 😊. . I'll be liquidating a good bit of merchandise and equipment over the next two months - just in time for creative holiday presents. Watch for our sales announcements. I deeply value my long connection to this community and the relationships I've built during the 16 years I've had a storefront in Maplewood and look forward to this next phase. I know these relationships will continue, albeit in a slightly different way. This isn't a farewell but a "see you soon."
