A rare behind the scenes…instagram wedding accounts tend to have the pressure of only that ‘perfect’ floral snapshot, but behind it all is an incredible amount of work, talent, organization and a thousand moving pieces. Moving pieces that are delicate and bruise easily…and we have only one shot to get it right. 🙃
🌷While it may look fancy on social media, much of our events are done right out of my home. With a cooler in the backyard disguised as a cute garden shed, and so far the record is producing $35,000 worth of wedding flowers out of my basement studio over 4 days.
🌷It allows me to be super flexible on the events I’d like to take on, from smaller dinners to large scale luxury weddings. While great for the pocketbook to have a massive wedding each weekend, it would lead to a full blown burnout, and you’ve really got to be your best self each week - because it’s wedding week! (And the next week, and the next week….). Wedding season is a marathon, not a sprint.
🌷The event industry depends on a large amount of seasonal contract workers. Talented folks who show up in that golden window of 2-6 pm every Saturday from May to October. They give up their Saturdays during the best weather months…and we love them. No wedding in Boston is getting set without this mighty workforce. ♥️
🌷We’ve stayed loyal to the best suppliers - quality for florals MATTERS. So many times I hear ‘I’ve never seen a rose like that!’ That’s one of my favorite things about being a wedding florist - its all about florals looking spectacular for one incredible moment, so fully blown roses, delicate anemones, and fluffy ranunculus that you don’t see at most retail shops.
