DJ Schedule updates:

1) Because the fourth Saturday of this month is the weekend before Halloween, my usual slot at Leaves and Roots Lounge is bumped back a week to their Dia De Los Mu***os party Friday Nov 1st. There’s a live band playing their Halloween party on Saturday the 26th.

2) I’m back at Delight Kava Bar in downtown Pompano Beach on Halloween night to play their Halloween party.

Only two days until this month’s BulaBeats event at Leaves and Roots Lounge Saturday July 27th. Come help Robert Purge celebrate his techno anniversary of 30 years dance music that started on a fateful family trip to New York City this month in 1994 when he went clubbing at Tunnel and Limelight at the peak of the NY club kid scene with his sister and her friend Brenda from the Bronx. His last of the 3 club outings was to Michael Alig’s infamous Wednesday night event Disco 2000 with resident DJ Keoki and that crazy night in Manhattan sealed the deal in him returning to Phoenix a born again raver. He was a DJ by the end of the year and gigging regularly as DJ P.R.G. by the following summer.

In a cool little twist of synchronic timing that night to Disco 2000 occurred exactly 30 years ago this Saturday on July 27th. To celebrate Rob’s 3 decades of dance music he’ll be dropping a house and techno set paying tribute to the acid drenched 4 to the floor bangers he heard at those New York clubs. Come help us take it back to the old school this Saturday. No cover, DJ set from 9pm to 1am, good vibes and some of Fort Lauderdale finest funky folk.
